Out of interest, at what point does a Netbook become a Laptop. For me it has to be screen size.

I have a similar laptop and the biggest disadvantage with it is the battery life. Less then 3 hrs.
Also the model is 11Z not V

Compare the Car Phone Warehouse one

This has a dual core processor and bluetooth and the Carphone Warehouse has a 6 cell battery and is £60 cheaper.

You can upgrade the battery to a 6-cell 56 WHr for £30

Where does it say the CPW one has a 6 cell battery?

I have got one and it does.

There isn't a huge performance difference between the single and dual core 11z laptops so I would probably go for the CPW deal (or get a dual core from the outlet for around £275).

I have a single core dell with 1.7G and XP Pro - would this one posted be noticeably faster, or would Windows 7 cancel out any difference?

Thanks ;)

Assuming you mean the Pentium M 1.7GHz cpu then yes the dual core SU4100 is at least twice as quick and runs Windows 7 very well. You will also benefit from the fast DDR2 800MHz memory and the GS45 chipset which has hardware HD video acceleration for 1080p video.

Thanks Simon - I'm typing on a different pc at the moment, and the laptop is a few years old, bought 2nd hand from bigpockets - it's nice but a little slow, so I'm guessing that it's a pentium m at best! Repd

Also, Quidco at 3%, if you're not using other vouchers http://www.quidco.com/dell/

The 6 cell battery is very bulky. If you want something compact stick with the 3 cell.
