Zavvi have been bought out. I recently ordered an item listed as Ebay one day deal 10 minutes after the deal was listed, paid with Paypal, received email stating in stock and will be dispatched with 24 hours. 7 days later nothing arrived.Contacted Zavvi just to be told out of stock,, needless to say I am extremely P....d off.. I wouldn't buy anything from these morons again.

Yeah fair play it would be a bit of an ask for dedicated graphics but HDMI port is pretty standard these days isn't it?

I'm in the market for a laptop in this price range right now. Don't need dedicated graphics but no HDMI is a deal breaker. Can't say I've researched it enough to know if you just wont get it on a model at that price.

I'm not sure but looking at the little Atom PC's they have them built in - even the £180 models.

I don't get this lack of hdmi business. My 4870 has dvi ports but it came with a dvi to hdmi adapter. They must be on ebay for cheap and problem solved.

errrrrr it has that ugly 3d design

Yes but joking aside, is this a reasonable deal? I was looking for something for £250 ish, just for browsing & spreadsheets, no 3d power hungry games. Work only.

There's no such thing as a VGA to HDMI converter cable. DVI would be just as good, but this doesn't have DVI

i'd say at that price point it's a good deal for a full sized bog standard laptop.....
but it's like saying a fiesta is at a good price when you're after a focus.

I didn't, he was saying what's the problem - just buy a converter to convert DVI to HDMI, but this laptop doesn't have DVI...

I got dedicated graphics for £270

Sure its only a 5470 but its a start

I think this links to an inferior Laptop at the same price, 1gb less RAM, 250gb less HDD, 300MHz slower CPU, same integrated graphics

but it does show you it's not a unmissable deal...plenty of choice out there

.....And above all else its an Acer X)

Looks good deal to me even without the hdmi port, why such a big need for hdmi, is it just for connecting to TV.I use usb via dvd player or use media player. For the money looks a bargain. You can just keep asking for more things needed but the price rockets.

That wasn't really the point, I was just saying you can get one with an HDMI port in this price range.

better buying from direct from dell outlet
Right now...
Inspiron N5030
Inspiron 15 - N5030 , Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT) , Processor : Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T4500 (2.3Ghz, 800Mhz, 1MB)
320 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM), 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (1 DIMMs) , 8 X DVD +/- RW , 15.6in High Definition (1366X768) WLED , 6 Cell Primary Battery, 48W , LCD Cover : Glossy 3D Black , Back Up Media Not Included , £240
Again this has 2gb lass RAM, 180gb less HDD, doesn't include the case and is the £240 including VAT and delivery? and it's used.....
just shows the price point is very crowded....
