I'm currently in the look for a medium ranged gaming laptop (world of warcraft & dota) and stumbled across this. Good deal i think but missing a SSD.

Thoughts? It seems quite thin too for a gtx heavy laptop which is something i want (struggled to fit in a MSI 17inch gaming laptop previously into a 17inch laptop rucksack.) It does not have a optical drive so helps with size i guess but its something i dont want so happy with that.

Apply code GAMINGPC10 to get £85 off.

as a student, this is a great laptop for work (3d cad) and gaming on the side...although the weight does get heavy in your bag

I'm voting cold because I got his for £699 last year from dell, ask them for a student discount and you should be gold (they didn't ask me to provide student ID!)

is that direct dell website or some student website? Have you got a link on where this can be? Also is it exact model - i7 processor, not the i5 which i have come across a most times when seeing their dell inspiron 15 laptops?

Straight from dells website (960m-i7 6700 HQ)... remember to chat to a sales assistant before purchase to get it to £699

960m good pricr. i recently got 940m second gand for 300. best new 950m i have seen is 500. 950m is equivalent to my 750ti desktop. so this should be sams as 760 desktop? will need to check as out of my price range.

8 gigabytes of ram and three USB3 ports. You can of course fit a generic external DVD reader, writer for about 10 pounds

Naa, the 960m is actually a touch slower than the 750ti

Rough comparison, not many about, but an idea: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-960M-vs-Nvidia-GTX-750-Ti/m27242vs2187

extremely helpful! i was using other vaguer comparisons. this makes me realise how bad my 940m must be! but only 300 quid and 'needed' it for a marketing trip to scotland as my previous laptop couldn't play xcom 2 despite me following low spec gaming tips on youtube. intel graphics hd 4000 or similar.
