No your not wrong, Dell are messing about with the specs again. I have altered the first post now. Sorry but when I checked all the offers at 6:30am it was 1gig. I really wish dell would make up their minds and stick to a spec once offered on a Thursday.
Thanks for quick reply Mr T.
Hi Mike

Do Dell ever do this sort of spec laptop (I'm sourcing one for a friend who's setting up his own small business) but with 1 year basic at home, Windows XP Professional and Office 2003 Basic all included?
I've suggested OpenOffice, but he wants to keep using what he's familiar with, which I can understand.

Want to keep the whole thing under the £500 level... lower if possible?
Well this offer comes to £528 with your additions, less Quidco would get close, I think it would be a struggle to get a lot lower or a very special offer day.
Suspected as much, thanks Mike... will keep looking the minute or perhaps wait for one of those very special offer days
The Acer laptops look good value as well, so also looking at those.
