so this has a less powerful processor compared to this laptop a few days ago - but instead you get a carry case?

Is it possible to self-install firewire to a 1501?
I think I may need it, unless the camcorder can also be connected via USB

the expresscard slot can take a firewire express card but they are a bit expensive, maybe a 6400 would suit you better, they have firewire already.

Take a look at this deal http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=607506

Thanks again :)

As long as that CPU is up with the other 1 for performance then its a good deal.
Already ordered last night the old £387 deal.
May have to reconsider lol

Check the cpu links in my blog sidebar, just about the same performance.

Believe me, I have been trying.
Been looking at desktops too, and they are just as bad with Dell not giivng all details on the exact version of the CPU.

Upgraded the £387 to a 9 cell last night, so upgrading the 6400 to a 9cell only makes it about £15 more I think from memory, with the firewire too.
Cheers :)
