I'm not trying to put you off this deal but you may want to consider this one also http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110132

With trulife screen it is £429 but has no warnings on delivery so you could have it in a week, 6 and 9 cell batteries are available at reasonable price and it has a years business hardware support, probably they will come to you to correct any hardware faults.
The only downside is it has a 120Gb hard drive against the 160Gb on the Inspiron. Oh and this ones black!

Hi,
I was looking at an inspiron 1520 yesterday (the one with £70 discount but the prices of the upgrades have gone up today
eg
2.0GHz processor was £80 yesterday now £89.99
1440x900 screen - was £10 yesterday now £20
Bluetooth adapter - was £17.50 yesterday, now £29

I'm wondering if its worth buying today, or whether to wait and see what tomorrow brings - but if these rises are there today there may be bigger rises tomorrow.

any thoughts?

because...?
Award winners this year, seem to be working hard to get their market share back, and prices are generally competitive.

I was looking at the same deal and noticed its gone up by the time I add the updates I wanted (all above except the bluetooth but with the 9 cell battery)

If I do order this today though would I be able to cancel the order easily online (or do I have to phone) if the system has not been sent out for delivery?

What I would like to do is hold out for a desktop (I'm interested in the Aldi deal on Sunday) but if I can't get this the laptop seems a good alternative for me (I know that might sound daft) but as the price seems to keep altering I'm keen to order it now with the current discounts and offers (particularly the 10% code) but want to be able to cancel it easily if I do get the Aldi desktop.

I went ahead and ordered tonight, the faqs on the dell site suggest that if the price changes due to a new promotion, you can cancel and order the new deal, as long as the first hasn't been shipped.

looks like the price is the same today as it was last night, except that the jet black screen with webcam is not available any more (which is what i wanted) so I'm glad I ordered last night:)
