looks good

PC World 10% price match is not as good as the Tesco £15.00 voucher, but useful to know about if you want it in blue instead of black.

Got the cheap Insipron from Tesco recently.

Tempted.... Sooooo tempted....

Your main problem will be to find a PC World store with it in stock

I bought one of these a few weeks ago from tesco when it first came on their website and its really worth the money, bargain at £324.

Sorry to be a pain, but don't know much about laptops.

Is this dell better than this toshiba for £319 inc delivery less 3% quidco.

Or would I be better off saving some money and getting this http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=uk&l=en&oc=N0610001&s=dhs

Is Vista home premium much better than basic. I just need to burn dvd's and cd's, watch avi's and occasionally design some posters and stuff. I would like to try second life, but am guessing I need a way more powerful computer than any of the three above. Is that correct.

Which of the tree above do you think I should go for, thanks for your help in advance. John

The Toshiba you link to is refurbished and has a 1.46 GHz processor as opposed to the Dell's 2 GHz
.
Your second link doesn't seem to be working.

You can check the requirements for second life here:

http://secondlife.com/support/sysreqs.php

You seem to have everything (and more) in this Dell apart from the graphics card.

Thanks for the deal, just bought a very basic Dell laptop with AMD sempron processor 3600 and 1gb ram for £292 and needed a higher spec one as well, so for an extra £47 have got a 2ghtz core 2 processor, vista home premium and an extra 1 GB of ram.

Also, Tesco have double points on their laptops at the moment. so an extra 339 clubcard points, making a discount of 678 points = £27.12p in clubcard deals!!!!!!!!!!!

This looks like a great deal with possible tesco points and quidco too. This PC is about £100 more on the dell website. Could this be a misprice there is another dell laptop with a lower spec at the same price.

OK, I am seriously thinking of buying this now, but am a bit put off that the heat is dropping on this. Why is it being voted cold. I don't know much but it seems like a good deal.

Advice would be appreciated :)

Got a Dell Desktop and am very happy with it. Thats why I whent looking at Dell for a laptop. Look up the Dell Inspiron 1525 on the Dell website. They have a few to choose from with varying processors and memory. Check out the customer feedback. Its very good.

I wanted a decent laptop with Webcam. At least 2gb ram, as Vista struggles with anything less, decent processor (2ghz), WiFi and usual CD/DVD rewriter. Don't be led by this price but by what you need to do the job.

Don't know why some people vote cold without explanation. The Siemens laptops may seem cheaper but may not have the spec. Then again it may be enough for what you need.

This is a very good deal for the 1525 Inspiron.

Hope this helps.

Showing as £369 for me - has the price gone up ?
#20
As in the subject: they have increased the price to 369 pound :x
#21
Yep, this model has gone up to £369 - must have been a mis-price for Teco catalogue number 204-4105 which sports the T2390 processor and is still available at £324 with voucher.

Goes to show what a good deal this was! Congrats to anyone who bought at the original price.

Just checked the website. Yes the price has gone up. Was showing £339 when I ordered yesterday. Confirmation email also stated £339 as the price - £15 voucher, which I think may also be expired.

Hope they don't try charging me more.

Keep an eye out. I think the price will drop again and other vouchers are available.
