Horrible laptop.

I had one for a week and then returned it and bought a Compaq instead for less.

Are you all right man?Have a look at your previous comments - does any deal deserve some heat apart from your???

I do not like this particular deal so cold from me (sorry MikeT - common PDC and 4-cell battery for £350?You can do better :-D ).

Even better, go to Dell outlet and get one with the same processor, but with 3gb RAM and a 250gb HD but in black (Without the 6 week wait) for £246 delivered like I did last week... Dell still have a £100 off sale on all inspirons via the Dell outlet.... Yes they are reconditioned returns but for £246 you can not go wrong....

Never actually bought one that showed signs of being reconditioned - either done that well, or they never made it out of Dell in the first place !

The outlet CAN be a good source (certainly used to be), but sometimes I find it a little overpriced compared to offers on new machines, still a good heads-up for those who have never used it.

I ordered one from there for my sister over the weekend:
Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB, Bluetooth, 6 cell battery - £284 delivered

Very true, I have ordered about 12 computers / laptops from the outlet this year for family and friends, and every one of them has been in mint condition, no signs of refurb, the only way you know it is a refurb is the fact the box that it is delivered in has a sticker in the corner of it saying refurbished from dell outlet.. apart from that they may as well be new... some of the low end spec machines can be cheaper doing a deal direct for a new one with dell, but every so often a machine comes up with a craking spec for next to nothing.... last month I got a dell inspiron 530 with 2 x 750 GB HD's, a 2.33ghz quad core processor, 4 gig ram, wireless N, Dual DVD drives, card reader, 256mb ATI Graphics and all the trimmings for £310... and it was immaculate, you just have hit on the right deal at the right time.... and keep watching the site as every so often they will stick a bargain in with no warning, and its first come first served...
