That's a good price. Shame i just recommended a slightly different machine and it's already been ordered.

£29 extra for the webcam builtin would burn a little.

4 cell battery...that would definitely need upgrading

see my above post, hard to answer your questions mac and pc are a big difference, i prefer a pc so would say that dell is pretty sweet deal. but you might be worth waiting and see what happens with the mass supply of vista machines

15.6"?

Doesn't seem like a notebook to me..

Lots of machines that dont even have vista on them. They have XP. Once people hear about how good windows 7 is they wont want to touch older operating systmes leaving a glut in market. Add to that the price war for the that ever so ellusive "recesssion pound" with asda and tesco already going head and it makes for a very interesting few weeks ahead.

You're thinking of a Netbook...laptops have always been called notebooks.
...but you're probably younger than me:whistling:

Why not? :?

15.6" is about the average screen size on most notebooks out now.

Edit: already posted, took me too long to read the spec lol.

Never mind. Why's my internet so slow today....

would love it if you're right, often sadly they just throw an upgrade disc in the box.
#21
Lots of deals were on well before Win7 was released. Now its released win7 laps are expensive.
Vista laptops will be hard to sell but hassle as will need upgrade disc........or could just buy the vista and do a student upgrade/edu for 30 quid if you have young college kids.

where's Mike T???

That is £399 for a T4300 chip - not core 2 duo?

I need two cheap laptops before the new year - is general opinion to wait for better deals?

15.4" is the standard size for a notebook. 15.6" is becoming more popular because it equates to true widescreen, ie, an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Pretty good deal by the way. Just a shame about the graphics.

guys. Dell's business laptops (eg. Latitude range) are cheaper for the same RAM and processor compared to the Home laptops (eg. Inspiron/studio).

am i right or is there something i'm missing....like some graphics card or something else!!

all opinions welcome!

How would you build up this this deal on dell via a fresh link from quidco?

Also, would the quidco link be by the standard Dell or the Dell Small/Medium Business referral ??

Search for N0054504

It should be the standard Dell link.
