There are still 20 left, the Red ones are £2 more for some reason. The temp is up and down like a yo-yo. Any thoughts from the temperature clickers?
... Given that the list price is £417.99p Delivered from the main Dell site, how much more do you expect to save for a deal to be hot?
#2
Not bad but Vista basic and not very big drive

The list price of £417.99p is not at all competitive for the spec

Warm

.. Ta, but this one has the slower single core Celeron processor and only 1Gb RAM. Adding the upgrades makes it £409:)

heat - seems a good offer to me

Seems hot to me too - thanks for letting us know!

(Only appears to be the red ones left now...)

Good Spot on the processor, Underin but the T3400 is a Dual Core and the Celeron 585 has a single. So you are right, it runs at the same speed and has the same cache, just one core though.

Thanks rizzy_87 and sporting_exodus.
Just 8 left now, all red ones at £284.45p

Hmm. Comparing this to the NC10 is like comparing us to a baby; yeah they are both laptop like but the netbooks purpose is to be really small and compact but loses spec to gain battery life. while this is a fully fledged laptop which is more powerful but less portable.

I'm going for the NC10 because i need something tiny to work on the train with.

About to buy one, thanks but not too keen on the 4cell battery. How long is it likely to last?
#19
Took the plunge. Excellent! The warranty on my Vostro 1510 runs out next month so a perfect time to get a new laptop with a shiny new warranty.

Thanks again.

depends on how you set it up. E.g. low screen back light, sufing only, may get you 60 mins. DVD playback, bright screen, max vol, would be nearer 30.

Was adding one in my basket and someone took the last one :(

Rest are now £280 + VAT...
#22
I guess if it becomes a pain I can just get a bigger battery.

Anyone know when the next drop will be? It may be worth having another look then.
#23
There may be some in peoples baskets. If they decide not to buy, they will pop up over the rest of the day.

This will auto expire at the end of the day. The link still takes you to the right place, all you need to do is sort as per the post. If there are systems available, they will be listed at the top in price order. Good luck.

This deal just proves how good the last dell laptop deal I got on here was which is the laptop this will be replacing.

I bought it a year ago, a vostro 1510. It was aboutu £280 and pretty much the same spec but on the downside had a 1.8ghz and no truelife (although I prefer it without) .

On the plus side though it had a 128mb invidea graphics card and a 6cell battery.

Must be the credit crunch.

Can't find the one with the 128mb graphics card but here is a similar one from about the same time. It makes me begin to feel that if you frequent hotukdeals enough the normal laws of economics do not apply to you lol.

Yeah very true budy, i looked at this and thought they where 13inch not 15. I've been in store and i find a realy nice portable laptop is around 10 - 13 inchs, perfect screen size and light and small enough. I think im going to still hold out for a price drop on a NC10 though as this pc im on atm is very high end and i just want something small for web, video, music and old games such as monkey island :)

One left at £245 + vat as of 10am if anyone's interested.
