Question, is 2 gig really enough RAM for Windows 7. Most laptops I've seen have 3 or 4?

Nice price but also have a look at this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-Satellite-15-6-inch-Processor-SuperMulti/dp/B00336EFZE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1272627053&sr=8-1

this Toshiba i3 from Amazon is quite good aswell for a little bit more and you get a large 320gb hard drive (£413.26)

It runs fine with 1GB so 2GB is plenty.

As for real work use I have a desktop and nettop with 2GB a Laptop with 3GB and one with 4GB and have had several netbooks with 1GB and 2GB and windows 7 (HP and Pro) ran/runs perfectly on all of them.

Dell really seem to have gone downhill with the I3 deals, I got this last month with 3gb RAM for less.

I am so behind with processors! I lost touch when it was still Pentium 4 and Celerons!
Anyone know of a site which can explain the latest generation of processors to me?!

This website will allow you to compatre the speeds and will give you some techy info. But it's really more for comparing the speed and ranking of processors. Hope it helps
