Excellant price for an i3 laptop
#2
How do you find what BestBuy sell via their web site?

I have clicked all over the site and cant find anywhere what they sell and how much each item is.

I cant even find the Dell posted above (even on their Bank Holiday deals).

Even a search on "Dell" or "1564" does not find it.

Do they actualy list what they sell on their web site?

this is a link to their poster that they posted on their twitter page - http://ow.ly/i/3p5n/original

the only way i could see deals was to search for a store, then on the left click on deals, then you will see a link to their e-brochure.

curiously this does not appear in the brochure, but i dont think this brochure is dedicated to the bank hoilday weekend sale they have on.

also in the back of the brochure it says you could get upto £150 trade-in on your old laptop.

Can't locate on the web site so bit pants really.
#5
Will this have the 20% off. A deal was at bestbuy stores on here
#6
it's normally £399.99, 20% off gets it down to £319.99 for this weekend only.
#7
Don't think Best Buy UK trade online so this should be instore.
#8
Ok I see. Thanks does anyone know how much this cost on dell website? Can look as on my mobile
#9
I wouldn't recommend Dell personally.

£549, believe it or not.

A Core i3 machine for this price is stunningly good value - normally you'd only get a celeron processor.

why wouldn't you recommend Dell?

Seems a rather sweeping statement, we work with mainly Dell Laptops in work and we have hundreds of them, always very good build and never seem to have problems.

Can you believe these people.

More info would be good on the actual product, I know I went to the Dell website but confirmation is better, cheers.
#15
Can anyone confirm that this will defo come with 4GB of RAM, rather that 2GB?
#16

Once again, completely irrelevant to it being a deal.
And doesn't even give reasons, how does your personal preference affect it being a deal or not?

I have updated the 1st post with the spec.

Are you waiting for The Three Billy Goats Gruff?

these half assed answers really show there age group "I wouldn't recommend Dell personally." yeah right m8 i bought about 60 over the years for business never had a complaint yet all say how reliable and cheap they are....

I'm guessing this will only have integrated graphics, so no good for gaming.

Still a great price, but no use to me.
#22
Might be a 5450 as shown in the Dell link but not sure, probably best to call them 0333 777 777 777

Looks good... does anyone know if Best Buy offer extended guarantees on these / or can you get through Dell?

The cheapest Laptop that I can see with an i3 (what I'd really recommend as the Core2 series are getting old now) and a decent graphics chipset is the Toshiba Satellite Pro L650 series. They have ATi Radeon Mobility 5650 1GB's which are pretty fast and run new games well but only have 2GB of RAM. To be fair though that is fine unless you're heavily multitasking.

Very good deal

The integrated graphics that is part of the i3 is in fact a lot better than the older intel graphics, so shouldn't stop anyone buying, as long as you don't want to game on it.

Unfortunately, deal breaker for me is no esata port. Shame!

Just spoke to someone at Thurrock and they have 60 in stock and may even get more when those are sold.

Confirmed 320 HD, 4GB 1066MHz

just got one only 2gb memory but still a bargain, in Thurrock they were very popular. Sales assistant said it was a very very good deal (also got the hotpoint washing machine for £186

The cheapest Pro L650 I can see online is over £600!

Thurrock told me, on the phone, that it was 4GB. I'd be pretty **** off if I went all the way there (about an hour away) to find it was actually 2GB
#29
Shame it's 2Gb, I'd be very tempted otherwise to replace my Dell Studio 15. Even on the Dell outlet you would be hard pressed to pick up an i3 Inspiron for this price.
#30
I've only had good experiences with dell (after the bad ones). Had an XPS M1530 (reburbished) laptop which I had issues a number of issues with (in the 3rd year of warranty and they replaced it with an upgraded Alienware M15x (brand new)!
#31
Have had 5 dells as personal computers over last 15 years. (alongside the 200 I used to manage at work)
3 had no issues went for 5 years plus and still going strong. Other 2 both had problems which were dealt with very well by their repair teams - I had on site support though and if I had to be sending it back every time it went wrong (3 motherboards before they decided to replace it FOC at 2 years old) it would have wound me up.
Wouldnt hesitate to buy another (with 3 years on site support)
#32
I don't see why people are justifying their experiences with Dell, the comment made was ill thought out and only served to troll. The lack of justification proves this.

Shut up fool.

the hard drive is actually 250gb and only 2gb ram. It also has a wireless "g" card and not wireless n . Best buy customer services told me the wrong spec and was really annoyed when i got there. Seemed a very flimsy unit compared to other dell's. Its been made to a budget it appears for car phone warehouse. It actually states"cpw" on the side of the box. So its probably exclusive to them. i wondered how long this thing would actually last me!

You sure that it's flimsy compared to other Dell Inspiron units not made to spec for the Carphone Warehouse/otherwise?

Because it's a bold claim to suggest that Dell use varying grades of Inspiron chassis materials, depending on where they are going.

See for yourself if your near a store mate. There's nothing "bold" about that statement.

laptop seems rock solid to me and not flimsy at all, you are getting a dell i3 laptop for £320 ! there are different grades of build quality but we would find it hard to really moan about the case for a £320 machine

I would suggest the title is change from 4gb to 2gb to not mislead people though
