Dell Inspiron 15R Core i3-380M with Radeon HD5650 Graphics £339.00 @ Dabs + Quidco
First time poster, so don't bite my head off....
I know this laptop has been on here before, but dabs now have it for £339. There is 4% Quidco (not 8% as the cashback is ex VAT), so it comes to £327.70. Seems like a steal.

That's £130 more (excluding the quidco discount) and the 2 laptops aren't really comparable.
Thought as much.
For the money, this machine is fantastic especially if you like gaming. The ATI 5650 runs like a dream.I am currently playing Crysis in 1366 x 768 with the settings on a mix of High/Very High with 2x Anti-Aliasing and the game has no lag whatsoever! I have also tried out Alien vs Predator (the DirectX 11 version) and it looks & plays so much better than the Dx 9 version I had to play on my old lappy. Far Cry 2 also looks incredibly good.
A couple of things to take note of if you are thinking about buying this machine...
First, adding a bigger hard-drive is a big job (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ-tuEFjips ) & even if you're up to it, it probably invalidates the warranty. Also the 320GB HDD is a Western Digital 3200BEVT which is comparatively slow. Note too that there's no ExpressCard so you can't add USB3.0 for fast external drive access.
The keyboard is also quite rattly (but functional). Also the fan is full on when you're gaming but if like me you wear headphones, you won't notice anything.
Overall, great value for money! Hot from me.
Well, that is upto £150....just a hell of a lot below!
In the space of a day I found this model with a 2nd gen i3 (£320) i5 (£350) and finally plumped for the i7 (£470).
A one off?
Glad I could be of help to you.
Maybe you should take my wife's opinion of the screen into account. I showed her the opening sequence to Assassin's Creed II (saw it for £2.49 on HUKD and just had to have it!). She hates anything techy but even she was very impressed at what she saw.

It wouldn't be hotukdeals without hypocrisy for predicatble behaviour.
