have some heat on this, great price for that you're getting.

Thanks Mike and Merry Xmas.

Hot deal....well spotted Mike T.

Yes, some may pass this by thinking its expensive, but its not for what your getting. The same spec on a Vostro 1700 will cost you around £850 making this a bit of a billy bargain.

Merry Xmas to all the Dell readers too.

Voted hot MikeT. Well Done

Quite a large bump, but this is worth it- especially with the new 10% voucher (if that works on this laptop).

Anyway, the bump does have a reason- do Dell do laptops with the GDDR3 version of the 8600M in them, rather than the DDR2 version like this laptop has?
#6
Hi Mike T, if you use the 10% voucher it brings the deal out to £629.10

a billy billy bargain :-)

An excellent deal - nothing comes even remotely close to this spec for £630 on ebuyer for example.

To get it even cheaper, use the option that starts at £549

http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&kc=NRS17203&l=en&oc=N0172008&rbc=N0172008&s=dhs

Match it to the EXACT SAME SPECS as above, and you end up paying A LOT LESS than £629: the only downside is that you get 250GB rather than 320GB, and no travel remote.

I believe the final price is £571.95!

Go have a look yourself, who needs 320GB anyway?? Haha, not me.

Cheers firearcade, good advice.

For those that have been watching these Dell deals for a while now, what's the likelihood that discounts like this with free delivery are going to continue to appear as we go through 2008?
#12
Nevermind - became too tempted along with the pending expiry of the 10% reduction! Went for the N0172008 and increased the processor up to the spec of the OP and upgraded the battery. £589 less quidco (hopefully!)
Thanks MikeT & firearcade.

This deal is now £629 with the attached voucher

recently i managed to add following to above spec so total price comes to 649£
high resolution screen 1900x1200 WUXGA worth 100£
9 Cell battery
the hard drive is 250 gb though.
considering the very high quality screen I think it is a very good deal at 649 £
