is it worth changing the processor from 1.6Ghz dual core to 1.5Ghz C2D for £20 ?

would there be any significant performance increase ?

Great Find Mike Thank you

Can some one please help, I've added an 8600m GT to the above laptop and a 250GB hardrive bringing the price to £548.02 (£618.01 before the included £70 discount). I should be able to use the discount code Q3TCG81H5P8?BM for 10% off as its above £599 but it doesnt work. Any help would be appreciated as to why this is the case

I would for £20.

Depends what you're doing. The C2D has 64-bit extensions and uses a little less power, but is otherwise the same as the original Core (which is what the T2xxx series is, just renamed so it doesn't sound as good ;))

If it's a special Dell deal, as it seems to be, the site will have been configured not to accept the code if you use this offer as a basis for upgrade...they might make the odd mistake but they're not completely stupid....I tried it with the XPS:whistling:

Does Truelife make that much difference ?
#9
Mike, what's the difference between this and the 6400, only the processor???
Is that worth the £50 difference?
Cheers

Also this one has a 17" screen.
Whether it's worth it or not depends on what you want the laptop for in the first place.

This would be good as a desktop (non 3d games) replacement

does this have the truelife screen?

or is it the matt type of screen?
#12
great price, you are not going to beat the price for this spec ...... awaits someone to quote an Asus EEE PC :)
