Just found this system a moment ago - seems quite a good price with the 22" Monitor.
You can get it cheaper with the 20" Screen, but it says this will possibly delay your order by 45 days!!!

Also you have to add the Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110 and select Mouse Included in Wireless Keyboard and Mouse option [subtract £17.62]to get this price.

Nice find! Is there a way of removing the monitor? or do I just phone dell and ask? Because my uncle's PC has broken down so he's just looking for a new base unit.

Not to sure, but MikeT has posted a good base unit with no monitor for £244.

Or sell the monitor on ebay for £200

Seems to have been a few just lately at that price, all sold.

Would make it a cheap base.
#12
What do people think of this as a deal?
#13
Possibly another £12 via Quidco, if it's not already been mentioned?
#14
not bad!
#15
seems like a good deal, with the monitor..
but i'd upgrade the processor to proper core 2 duo (+£29.38)
#16
The processor upgrade would probably sway it for me too. Has anyone ordered, what's the estimated delivery date on it?
#17
I ordered this 3/4 days ago, estimated delivery date is 23rd Aug at the moment - I went for the XP option though. That was with the 1.80 processor and a 22" Monitor.
#18
not as good a deal as the £188 I paid for the C521 base unit a couple of weeks ago, care of Mike T's post
#19
It is an OK deal until you add the E4300 and then it complains you need to have Vista Home Premium which whacks another £30 on top!!
#20
Are Dell always so delayed at this time of year? I'm guessing a lot of people get new PCs and Laptops for school, college, uni etc.. I've got a few on order the now (probably adding to the delay!) and they're not due to be here until the 22nd. Been in Pre-Production for a week.

try calling them and haggling on a processor upgrade.
worth a try.

They usually have new deals on thursdays...

V. Tempting offer - Dell deals with a 22" monitor are seemingly no more than once a quarter!

Will investigate at home! Thanks OP :) Voted Hot

The picture on the the forum shows a remote control and on the screen it has media centre. However the spec shows Vista basic, this does not include media centre so the remote would not be a lot of use. Strange spec with Vista basic, but a good price.

awesome. voted hot.
have been looking for a nice 22" monitor for a good while, waiting for that special deal.

configured this deal down to £381, hopefully sell the base to a mate/ebay for at least £220 and i've got myself a sweet screen for the same price as no-name.
