530 Base Unit - 500GB Hard Drive, Vista Home Premium,3GB Memory, Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 processor, 2.2 GHz. Triple clubcard points today only.

I'm no computer expert but when I built this on Dell.com it came to a lot more than £399.

The Clubcard points are worth £48 in deals, so makes it £351 collect in store.

Tesco is giving triple clubcard points on all its Dell range.

bought a refurbed Dell XPS 720 today for £725......beast of a machine and far better value tahn the above
#6
Very different price range though, £351 to £725.

I'm not disputing your statement but at double the price it must be hard to compare the deals.
#7
Well I got a very similar spec to this (250gb HD and only 2gb ram) for less than half this price from dell outlet last week using the voucher. So not fantastic to be honest.
#8
I really dont this is a great deal.

Using ecode D015009 on Dell you can get the same spec for £344 delivered.

Of course remove the monitor and upgrade the components to match the original posts specification.

Could you please put up the dell link for the page where I can buy :

Integrated Intel Graphics 3100
500GB Hard drive
Serial ATA 7200 RPM
Vista Home Premium
Dual Layer DVD RW super multi drive
3 GB Memory
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500
Card Reader

I couldn't get anywhere near £344 for this spec, so I would be enormously grateful.

Hey,
Might not be the best of deals compared to recent but now expired offers which consisited of adding Quidco and the 10% voucher which as stated have all but expired.

But on the positive side. THANKS FOR LETTING US KNOW!!

Another point being unless you can get a better deal at the PRESENT TIME why do people inform us of deals they got 6 12 18 months back. We need realtime and this is that.

Keep up the good work.

Remember to Remove the Monitor, Upgrade the Processor and Hard Drive to match your original specification.

Total Price £344 Delivered.

Hope this helps you

You can get quidco for tesco.com but I wasn't sure exactly how much it is so I didn't post it.

Still hoping that someone will post the link for this spec at £344, as the triple points on this only last for today.

Here you go http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&oc=D015009&dgc=AF&cid=5212&lid=122756. Make the changes to the specification as the previous post said however that price of £344 includes £50 to upgrade the RAM from 2GB to 3GB. The same upgrade would cost you less than £20 from Crucial UK albeit you would have to fit it yourself but that's very easy to do.

I've already done it 2 posts back.:)

That's brilliant, thanks Brains.

To be honest would save your money and get it for less than £300 with 2gb of ram as the difference over 3 bg will be tiny. If you want to spend the extra money spend it on the graphics card upgrades.

I could really do with advice from you guys.

I make my living as a sports trader, trading prices in-play on football, golf and various other sports. The speed of my computer is vital to my work and my current old Medion PC is just beginning to cost me money in missing trades. I don't know what I need when I'm looking for a PC, I don't really do anything much else with my computer other than surfing and shopping.

Would anybody be kind enough to point me in the right direction, please ?

I understand that this is a shopping site so please excuse me if I am out of line asking, but I don't really know where else to ask. PC World would probably just sell me something marked ' S.Y.C.' - Saw You Coming.

Well best to open a thread in deal requests listing what you require desktop or laptop, price you want to spend and exactly what you use your computer for in you bussiness as not sure what you do with it at present. Also what programs you use.
