Title is wrong - it's 2.33ghz

the graphics card is obviously lacking - but it's a solid base system for anyone wanting to soup it up with a decent graphics card for another £80 odd

i went for the other vostro offer yesterday, but if it wasn't me needing vista biz i'd seriousl consider cancelling and ordering this plus a ATI 4770 graphics card

middle deal - remember to upgrade the ram & monitor (or at least 1 item) as you need to take it to over £500 for the 10% discount code to work

Why the great need for Vista Business so specifically?
There is only the backup component that is much different, (who uses it anyway when there is plenty of other better backup software around) and the Media Centre stuff on Home Premium is easy enough to turn off.

Got two Dells at home, one Home Premium and one Business, and I wouldn't know which was which if it wasn't for the room I am sitting in!

i need to run IIS on it (for testing websites) - for that you need the biz or ultimate versions (sadly)

Does this item not get the Quidco as well!! I'm sure it'd be about another £29.30.

Ah - I didn't realise... (it's a long time since I ran my own web server)

******************************** UPDATE**********************

This sounds an easy enough way around it though!

There's no need to upgrade this deal to get the 10% discount. (Of course you may wish to upgrade !)

The 10% discount will work anyways on the default deal configuration.

The cost of this deal without upgrading is £431 (with discount code)

Thanks for that, Brains - that's an excellent price then, considering you get a 20" screen.

Plus a small discount for Quidco, I assume. Voting this hot.

Does anyone know how quiet this system is?

I had a qaud core machine before and had to send it back because it was so loud compared to the two other machines I've been using.

Thanks

Hi,

I just priced this and got £566 after the 10% discount :x

Am I doing something wrong, or has this expired?

Thanks

I am sitting in front of a Dell Inspiron 530 Quad core as we speak, and it is quiet as a I could wish for!
An external USB Hard disk plugged in to it is louder most of the time!

make sure you're picking the right monitor there's one 20" which is only an extra £10 and another which is over £100 (needless to say pick the £10 one) - also make sure you haven't taken any extended warranty
