FYI, against the default graphics card it says

I have had a look at reviews for the
AMD® Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
alot of reviews written quite a while ago, an it seems like the 6000 is more common, but for non high spec gaming ( well some gooduns ) general internet use, photoshop.. this and that.. which intel does it match up to in ability?

I hope this makes any sense, and that someone will be able to help me with my worries ...

Hard to say really...Check this report out. On HD and Blu-Ray playback, the 2600XT outperforms the 8600GT (less CPU usage) but on four of the five game titles they tested both cards on, the 8600GT outperforms the 2600 XT on 4 out of 5 occasions.

Personally, i think im just gonna take out the 8600GT when i get it...flog it on ebay and buy a 8600GTS with HDMI output.

i wont be using the computer for "intense" gaming shall i say, though i may start to but i have no idea what im doing when it comes to taking graphics cards out and putting other ones in etc. so im still trying to decide whether to get the 8600gt or 2600xt due to its hdmi and hdcp capability. plus how much is the 8600gts?
#30
also another question if i buy this tower, with only the one dvd drive, the space is still there for me to add an internal blu ray drive isnt there?

If you go through this the total price is £372.01

Exact same build.

My build that i posted had an internal wireless card hence the extra £15 on top of the £372.01

Mike T, i think you should update the price and link because the build on the OP is cheaper going through your last deal posted on the same system.

Risheet, the 8600 GTS ranges from about £75-£140 depending on brand and capabilities. Alot of gamers and reviews say that although it is a DirectX10 compatible card..it is still outperformed but some DX9 cards which are priced in the same range. However, im not sure how many, if any DX9 cards support High Definition. All i want this graphics card to do is play Pro Evo 2008 on high settings!

If you were looking for intense Direct X10 gaming then you would need to consider a 8800 GT/GTS/GTX/Ultra which range from £160+ You would also need to change your power supply unit (PSU) on your system. Im just gonna stick with the 8600GT for the moment, then get the GTS model or even one from the 8800 range with a new PSU for Xmas.

Here is a video explaining how to change a graphics card and how to change a PSU.

In regards to your second question, im pretty sure there is space to add a blu-ray DVD drive (as i think they are the same size as normal DVD drives) however not sure how much additional power (if any) is needed to run a blu-ray DVD drive...perhaps one of the many computer experts within the forums will be able to help you on that issue (if there is one).

Its gotten very confusing for readers of this thread to know which deal is which so I have posted the best config found by Brains as a new deal here.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1173370

To alter the op on this would just make it more of a muddle so please use the new thread for ecode D115108

Thanks.
