Mike T - How long do you reckon before we start to see Quad cores at these prices?

I'm wondering if it's worth me holding on a while and whether I'll see the benefit as things become optimized for Windows 7.

I'm getting myself rather confused about my potential PC upgrade. Would love to build a Shuttle cube PC based on an i5 chipset and installing an ATI 5770, but having a hard time costing things. Or should I go for something like this?

Tempted to wait and see if i5/i7 motherboards and processors drop soon as my budget is tight.

Do you know if the card has HDMI? Will buy this for sure if so.

Thanks :)

Sorry to slightly thread hijack. but when will you be able to pick up systems from the Dell outlet site that already include Windows 7 or a free upgrade. At present you get the following messages when you go on the site:

Please Note UK Dell Outlet Systems are not eligible for the Windows ® 7 upgrade at this present time.

I really need a desktop but no way do i want one with vista.

Any tips/help please?

Thanks in advance.

How does this compare to http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b&c=uk&cid=5212&dgc=AF&l=en&lid=122756&oc=D004502&s=dhs&fb=1 ?

The processors look different - please excuse my ignorance, but which is better?

Good deal, but it was better value imo a few months back when it included the 20" monitor for just £50 more...

true but it's worth getting maybe a 2.1 system for watching movies or playing games anyway, i can't stand the tin sound of TVs...:?
