Thanks for this Mike...think I will go for this deal.

Is it worth upgrading graphics card to X1400 for an extra £47? If there's quite a good performance boost I may do this.

Thought this looked quite a good deal...is it worth me holding on until after XMAS before buying laptop? My thoughts are longer I wait, better the value for money...still, I can't wait forever :|

This really is a very nice deal, with £100 off and a free printer, the graphics upgrade is one you will always wish you had gone for if you dont as you cant upgrade it later and it will run that much nicer with it, plus more system ram will be left alone for other duties. The 9 cell battery is not a must have, but handy if more than 3hrs is needed without a mains socket.
Dell are not renowned for post Xmas sales plus Vista will be here then so they will gain sales from that and not need to discount heavily so grab one this week, well worth it.

This is looking close to a Vista ready laptop. I want to get a laptop that will run Vista with all the bells and whistles working. How much would it cost to upgrade the memory to 2GB(after purchase) and is this a good enough laptop for Vista premium? Thanks.

As I have said before ;-) I would go for the graphics upgrade as you will wish you had later for sure.
As to memory, it has unfortunatly got 2x512 strips and only 2 slots so you have to sell the 2 in there for lets say £60 and buy 2 1gig strips (Crucial do 2x1gig strips for £178 less any coupons available and Quidco) so the upgrade will cost £118 or less to 2gigs.
Another way would be to phone Dell and see if they would fit just one 1gig strip instead (not an option in config pages) for the same price and then buy 1x1gig from crucial £91 less discounts.
As you can see its swings and roundabouts for ram pricing, but phoning dell to order looses you your Quidco cashback so I think your better off buying through Quidco with the stated 2x512 ram and graphics upgrade, then Crucial for the rest.
Sell your ram before Xmas though as the bottom will fall out of the small strip market after Xmas when everyone realises they need 2gig for Vista!
