Lovely net book. We have two of these and they are just the best. I bought about 8 different net books and ended up returning them one after the other until I found this little beauty.

Dellcustomer service is excellent too - when I did have a problem they could not have been more helpful, so recommended all round.

I think these can be Hackintosh'd too.
#3
Have I missed something? I cant find how much RAM it has.
#4
Other sites have this as 1GB of RAM. So I guess this one will be the same too.

ra2000 you must have been really lucky with Dell Customer Service

I have just bought an i5 from them which didnt work from day one. We spent 2 weeks being passed between hardware and software teams both saying the problem was with the other. We were told that as we had installed software on the pc that must be the problem - and hence tried to wiggle out of the warranty. They even ignored the letters and emails to Customer Service. Eventually when they sent an engineer out he replaced the motherboard which seems to have fixed things.

Its a real shame because Dell used to have great customer support but now they only seem to have a team in India who cant do anything other than read from a script.

I don't like netbooks, I prefer the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

Seriously though, I know they're not new, but on the Dell Outlet there's been quite a few 1012s on lately, some of which have 250GB hard drives, HD screens and Bluetooth. There was about three or four there this afternoon but they all seem to have disappeared now. They were about £190, but in my opinion, worth the bit extra and are normally spotless machines.

Just ordered a 1012 for £130 from dell outlet!

well you can get last years model for around £750 but they are worth it, treat it carefully and buy a case for it if you do purchase one. i took it for granted when i got mine.

Yes its definately worth paying 5-6 times the price for a portable netbook , ive had one thankfully courtesy of work so i didnt have the shame of seeing the massively over inflated price on my statements, it was left in my office for 3 months until the IT dept finally got the message.

These on the other hand are great little netbooks.

Really? I haven't heard anyone say good things about Dell's customer service in a very long time. And their build quality is pretty shocking in my opinion.

My advice is, avoid this like the plague. There was the Samsung n130 on here a couple of days ago for £169.99, free delivery (ebuyer's ebay outlet), which is a much better deal in my opinion.
