Ooh this got an HDMI port, and Atom N270 (instead of N260 in most cheap deals)

[EDIT] Hey, the £199 (for the 160Gb) is without VAT and delivery!
#3
Isnt this £250 after VAT and shipping?
#4
Price From £199
VAT & Shipping NOT included :|

also the ram isnt upgradeable, apparanttly the back lifts up by an inch extra due to the battery, definetly cheaper but nothing standing to the quality of the samsung range, im looking to buy a netbook very soon and i think imma have to go with samsung n110 :P

oh and dont forget the dell is 3cell battery, whereas the n110 is 6 cell which is optimised
#5
Add bluetooth, the 6 cell battery & pick the white unit, & it comes to £285.20 plus delivery, plus VAT
The Samsung NC10 is available for below that price now
Yes this has the HDMI, bu I'd rather have the NC10

This is the standard price. It is competative but not great. This price includes a 3 cell battery which offers poor battery life. £45 to upgrade to 6 cell battery. £40 to upgrade to a 160GB harddrive. It rapidly becomes more expensive than other offerings.

Having said that, if the basic specification is what you want, it is a good price.

EDIT: Original post was for £199. There is a version available for £199 (Linux, 8G SSD). Comments above relate to the £199 model.

I thought you only got HDMI on the mini 10 not the 10v
can anyone confirm?

also the dell mini 10 (original, not v) has the 950 graphics card, not 990 and as a result has extreme problems playing hd videos etc, even normal videos for that fact. Some problem with the manufacture of the graphics chip or something
#13
wait for windows 7 - designed for netbooks

only the 10v has hdmi

this is the standard price

every second or third week or so dell offter free shipping to, saving £20

on top of that it is cheaper ultimately to:
1) buy the 8gb ssd, sell it on ebay and buy a 160gb hd
2) if the model purchased has windows, upon first boot decline windows eula and request a refund from dell (depending on the terms and conditions of the eula and your drive to pressure dell in to adhering to them and providing a refund

the Mini 10 (1010 not 10v) im typing on now has HDMI its also got TV tuner and 3G built in :)

There appears to be a bit of confusion here... it is the Mini 10 (1010) and NOT the Mini 10v (1011) which has the HDMI output.

Also the memory on the 10v can be upgraded to 2 GB (If you don't mind a bit of careful 'surgery') whereas on the 10 it is soldered in place and cannot be increased.

Other differences:

10v = VGA out
10 = HDMI out

10 = Z series CPU
10v = N series CPU

10 = GMA500 graphics
10v = GMA950 graphics
