nice but its limited to max 1Gb ram as its soldered to the system board
would be ok for light users who want a bigger netbook screen

The 80Gb IDE interface notebook drive makes for some limited HDD upgrade choices.

That would be ok. I guess I should have been a bit clearer when I mentioned "limited HDD upgrade choices". What I meant to say is that notebook IDE drives have not increased in capacity much anymore, just like desktop IDE drives. SATA notebook drives have just reached 500Gb whereas the IDE one you linked to is probably the largest one available.

Then there is the cost issue. £50 easily gets you a 320Gb SATA notebook drive whereas it will only get you half the capacity if you needed it in IDE (at least going with EBuyer prices http://www.ebuyer.com/search?store=2&cat=4&subcat=19 )

No.

The Mini 12 takes a 1.8" drive and there isn't enough room for a 2.5". This info is very well hidden in the docs!

£349 is still too much considering the NC20 and other smaller/bigger models for similar money or less. It does look nice though.

Holy cow, that just makes the HDD upgrade even more expensive then, on £/gigabyte ratio :w00t:
