Had mine for 6 months (touch wood) had no issues

Not bad, however I managed to get same spec with the slightly better i5 450m processor only last night and for a whopping 77p cheaper.

Still think this is a great deal though...voted hot!

There's a £25 off code on the Dell website, however I successfully used 2BDMDNDQDVHX2Q for £30 off the stated price instead.

Total cost just over £400 - Fantastic!

nearly... checked out, ill double check, yeh i used a £30.00 refurb voucher, so its sub totalling at around 403 at the minute
#7
nice

Voted Hot its a vert good price for the spec - PC world would offer an i3 for this price with less ram etc.

Also, think the free delivery runs out today with the £30 off code expiring at the end of the month.
#10
I can't get the link to work!
#11
working now.. one left i think!

I bought one of these a month ago (exact same spec) and it worked for about 1 hour before dying! I had taken out the 3 year warranty, so they offered to fix or collect it and give full refund. I don't think I would risk buying another one.

I can understand that; however my "scratch or dent" from Dell Outlet has been fine so far (3 months). At least it failed straight-away rather than after a week or two...

Mine is this exact model and spec. Had never bought from Outlet before this, always bought new, but a £550 laptop for £410 was too good to miss. You get a full 12 month warranty, but refurbished could be just a return, or a cancellation. Mine was the former and the hard drive had been partitioned by the previous user, so i had to re install Windows and all the drivers to get rid of the partition. Its all working perfectly, and I am very happy.

I managed to grab one just before the free postage ended:
i5-450M (2.4GHz), 4GB, 500GB, Bluetooth, Blue lid - £350 delivered.

At that same time there was a Studio 1558 for £289 delivered which I also bought; need to see which I prefer now:
i5-460M (2.53GHz), 3GB, 320GB, Radeon 1GB, Red lid.

Crazy price for the Studio 1558 and there was a Studio 1558 i7 Quad for £432 with a good spec (4GB, 500GB, Bluetooth, WiFi N) and an XPS 16 i7 with the RGBLED screen for £630. They seemed to be dumping stock.
I'm not interested in i7 Quad otherwise I'd have been all over one at those prices.

Pity, there are some Inspiron 1120's on the outlet (aka m101z) which must have been a bogus listing because I couldn't seem to add them to my basket.

Hope the free delivery offer comes back sooner rather than later!

Thanks to the OP.
I think I got the last one - altough sheely nearly put me off!
Looks like it's a return (rather than cancellation) as the order confirmation gives the service tag.
This shows me the original dates:
Description Provider Start Date End Date Days Left
CAR DELL 12/05/2010 12/08/2011 265
CAR DELL 12/05/2010 12/05/2011 173
Does anyone know if this means it has been returned twice so far?

It just means that it was a product that was sent to a retail outlet in May 2010. They add 3 months automatically to these systems Warranty period which relates to the 2nd date as they know they will take a while to sell; seen it a lot before and Dell explained to me what it meant.
Obviously your warranty starts later than that and it's possible that the system was returned to Dell from the retailer as unsold so could even be brand new. I don't know how that works.

That's a blue moon price so don't hold out for similar.
From my experience Dell will occasionally dump a lot of good deals all at once after weeks of nothing special. It may be they do this at the end of a financial quarter. I suggest checking every day once or twice and eventually you'll bag a good one. I think first thing in the morning is worth a go as they do add new stock overnight so the early worm...

hmmm i guess your right, but just to confirm was the price that you said earlier include vat too?

Thx

Yes, it was the delivered price. Forget about that deal as it was very unsual even for Good outlet deals. Even on a good day you don't see a Studio 1558 for under £350 and that would be an i3.
I just got lucky and that was probably the best bunch of bargains I've seen on there at one time. Not so much the one I bought for myself but the other ones I mentioned. The XPS 16 for £630 is usually £1,000.
