For the sort of thing you'd buy this machine for, I honestly don't think you would.
I would say "old" processor rather than terrible. Depends what you are using it for though. A core I5 isn't going to let your granny load her web sites any faster.
it's less than £200 though, so people will buy it.

In computer hardware, yes.
Anyway its still crap, it has the power saving features cut out and is about as fast as a core 2 duo 2ghz. I'd rather spend a bit more and get something decent, but for most people its probably ok.
Lol...
GTFO.
Where do people get this crap. Laptops selling at £800+ use the exact same res. And the CPU is fine for web browsing/videos.
If you think you can get a laptop with a cpu capable of gaming + video editing at this price you're deluded.
why do people here make things up? how is B800 ultra low voltage?
ultra low voltage Celerons based on SB are: 787, 797, 847, 857 and 867, all with 17W TDP.
B800's TDP is 35W.
go fail elsewhere.
I wouldn't call a Core 2, slow exactly - yes they are last gen but realistically the way we use computers, especially for day to day tasks hasnt changed much in the past 2-4 years. I'm currently using a Dell tablet with Core ULV U7700 @ 1.33Ghz and tbh, even with programs like cubase, its hardly slow.
For most people, unless they plan on doing Photoshop, Pro Video Editing on a regular basis, will be fine with this. Can't vouch for the durability of Dell Inspirons tho - the plastics on mine are pretty wrecked...
