Should be - check the chipset. As long as it's HM65/67 it's possible - the sandy bridge laptop CPU's share the same socket (988B). You just have to worry about power draw / heat i.e. you should probably only swap a 35W celeron for a 35W dual core i5 / i7.
If you wanted you could pop in a 45W quad-core i7, but you would probably need a higher power AC Adapter, and the laptop's heatsink / cooling system may not be quite up to the job
