Good deal. I think I have only seen 15" at this price and spec. I'm looking for a bit cheaper, 15" myself, other I would have been all over this.

So the Queen traded this in to get herself a new Alienware PC for the latest 'bitching games' and Dixons refurbished it to sell on? Cool.

I bought the i5 version last month and haven't been disappointed. It has a high definition 1600x900 display which is perfectly fine for watching TV and Movies. Colours are bright and vivid. Good Laptop for the money.

It's a Dell. By the time the warranty is up you'll be selling it as 'For Parts / Not Working' :)

I was only joking - I have a Dell 486 that still works fine. I find a lot of reliability stories come from customer error rather than manufacturing defect

Even the 'bog basic' Inspiron 15 is a well put together machine. Love the bright screen, the brushed effect plastic chassis is much sturdier than similar priced competitors, love the keyboard (dont like the lack of num pad though, I use them a lot).

I do use HP for work as they take alot more of a bashing but ive had no problems from dell laptops for home apart from the odd key fading ere and there if u know what i mean

I'll never use Dell again. My Inspiron is a matter of a couple of months outside the warranty and lo & behold, the dreaded fault with the power adapter. I'm now stuck with a laptop that refuses to charge the battery thus making portability a bit of an issue. Seems it's a very common issue with Dells. Looks like new parts to get it fixed. Not amused :(

Well i have had my inspiron for several years fault free if you want to be covered pay for extra warranty this can happen with any laptop laptop's dont last for ever !

I found my Dell Inspiron 1750 thanks to hotukdeals but it cost less than 300 quid - it was brand new - and that was several years ago. I thought the price would have gone down a lot more than 20 quid by now, especially for a refurbished one.

It sometimes has a mind of its own, particularly when it comes to powering down, the connection to the screen came loose once (I removed the keyboard and fixed it myself) and I had one HD fail (they sent a replacement HD).

Otherwise, it has been a really good robust machine (touch wood & whistle).

This sucks. I really want to order one but I've tried my mastercard, my brother in law's, and a friend's, and Dixons hasn't accepted any of them :-/

Anyone fancy buying me one and having it delivered to my address?! I'll pay you by BT or PPG :-)
