I'm using this laptop now its a really good lappy but this deal is bad.

I got the 1.86Ghz version with 160GB and 2GB ram for £370 inc p&p only 10 days ago from this site!!! (Thanks MikeT  )

Me to m8 i have had a better deal through MikeT. I was thanking Admin for fixing the title in the thread from £229 to its correct price. This deal would of been ok with free P&P and a ideal lappy for the kids to surf and use msn etc..

Voted hot as it is an OK laptop spec delivered for under 300 notes. Heat and Rep added Brum, Thanks.

Just as a comparison with last weeks prices:-

I bought a Vostro 1000, 2Ghz Dual core Turion TL60 x2, 120GB hdd, 2 GB ram, 9 cell battery, dvdrw, XP Pro for £380 - ( minus quidco) - so really the first deal really doesn't seem like a great buy and the second one seems pretty mediocre considering it's a worse processor, battery, poss Video card - with just a slightly better hdd.

Not trying to be negative about any deal but it's easy to get carried away with Dell's pricing without realising the amount you end up paying often aint changed much from 'non sale' periods - and Dell work it that way lol.

Trick is to get a spec that your happy with, check other suppliers like ACER, maybe even ASUS (but imho ASUS are better notebooks) and see if the price is a decent bit less from Dell.

Don't get seduced by the (often) frankly fake savings Dell offers.
