2 MINUTES?
And you're happy with that?
Is it so hard to provide a propper link?
Why not go the whole hog and just say " Netbook, cheap, Google it yourself!"?

Thanks OP - useful and succinct posting.

It may be advisable to see a 10.1" screen and how easy browsing the internet is.
Friends of mine purchased them, thinking "how cute" and portable.
When they tried to browse websites, it was a pain. They kept having to scroll down so many times and their browsing experience was aweful. Their wives refused to use them. They were soon returned.

They may be great for travelling, but as an everyday machine for internet use, it's hard on the eyes and aweful to use. The touchpad is aweful too. Screen size matters. If you want a light laptop, go for a netbook with the larger screen that is light enough for you. But, 11.8" screens cost more. The price may be good, but does it suit your needs?

hot... a friend got one on the last bunch of releases. looks brand new...

for me under powered though ... and won't be getting one...

My Asus Eee 1000hg has a button for changing the resolution.
This has the efect of showing the whole page although it does reduce the size of text etc but removes the need to scroll so much.
Hope this helps.

My god, do you want everything spoon fed for you? God forbid, you would need to spend some time and figure out something yourself?! The fact is you are unfamiliar with the dell outlet, many here are not. Now take your pathetic rants elsewhere, there is a decent deal to be discussed here.

You have made yourself look very silly, bad times

You can't provide links to individual items through the Dell Outlet, it's not possible.

Keep digging, sunshine!

This is a 10" netbook, NOT A 15" LAPTOP. The screen specs are published. The depth is not much less than a cheap end laptop and not really a problem for browsing unless you use IE8 with all the toolbars. Simply install Chrome and/or Firefox with the reduced menu add-on and you get a better browsing experience than on an IE powered laptop. Can these people not do a little research or just ask?

It is these silly people expecting a netbook to be like a laptop (but much cheaper) despite concise clear specs and then returning them because they meet that spec. This costs the rest of us dear. A real cost of the 14 day rule which is stupid when the product is perfectly as specified.

I should add this rant is written on a 9" Dell .... thanks Ukhotdeals.com!

It’s not so much hard as impossible to link directly to deals on the Outlet store due to the way the website is designed.
Once you know the layout of the site it is easy enough to navigate it fairly quickly.

Can you provide me with the names of other websites I should take evening classes in, just in case someone else almost directs me to a bargain then?

If the site is so awkward, how about a clue on where to go when on it?
#18
Anyone ever see the Blackadder Christmas Carol eps? There were these characters called the Thickie Twins......

As HotUKDeals sends out over 500 emails a day, a mere, casual hand, waved in the general direction is not much help at all.
At 2 mins per post it would take over 16 hours to peruse them all.
YOU may have that much spare time between getting up, drawing your dole and making it to the pub but I most certainly do not!
#20
is this a good deal or average deal?

Can you add extra ram to these and maybe replace with an SSD hard drive?
#21
Bought two recently for £175, one was Romanian, so came with a EU charger and keyboard. The other had a blue line down the screen.
Have kept the EU one after some surgery! ;)

They are not bad, quiet, useful for surfing but wouldn't go out my way for another due to the screen.
I reckon XP is better though having used a W& for this spec.

Ram is tricky to upgrade, the HD is easier.

Ive ordered last time about 3 weeks ago, and i havent recieved it yet?

Just come off the phone to Dell as I ordered one last week and still have not received order confirmation. It appears that they are having major issues with the Dell outlet ordering system. I have cancelled my existing order and asked if I ordered another system today would there still be a problem and she confirmed that the system is still not fixed! Think I need to look at other options.

That's why I suggested they look at a 10.1" screen first and decide if it's for them.
Many people find it hard on their eyes. If only the screen could fold down almost horizontally, it would easy to use an external screen at a desk.
#27
Got a red one last time that came with bluetooth as a surprise, great little machine. Your eyes get used to the smaller screen within a day or two. Battery is good for 2.5 hours. No problems with the mouse either.

As you are obviously far too busy to get a clue here's a link that might help http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/topic.aspx/emea/segments/dfo/home?c=uk&l=en&s=dfo&~section=how_to_buy

And another idea, when you wake up tomorrow try getting out of the other side of the bed.

It's Dell Outlet, direct links to certain listings are difficult to provide...2 mins of my time is fine...was probably less and have you looked at your statement on your avatar?

Rubbish I am typing on a NC10 sitting on a sofa with my feet up nice and comfortable on the coffee table and the sammie is perched comfortably on a cushion on my lap - where I want to be - the screen is just the right size and distance away and I have very little probs looking at anything on the web - we can all say we want bigger screens but where do you want to stop have a 22" monster plonked on your lap ( take that as you will !!!!)

As for touchpads I dont like them much thats why I use a £5 optical usb mouse which down by my side on the sofa is great and relieves rsi due to the angle your arm, wrist and hand now sits at.

When I used to have a 15" lappie on my lap it was big, heavy, cumbersome, uncomfortable, awkward and and overheated my legs - god help if you had to get up and down alot , also a big 15" bright screen right up in your face used to give me far more headaches. Can you imagine how much research these companies undertook to come up with the 10" screen as a size that most people would feel comfortable with ??

My sammie is light, mobile and fantastic and does everthing I need in a lappie !!!

I think you may want to rename yourself from common sense to Mr opinionated

YOU may have that much spare time between getting up, drawing your dole and making it to the pub but I most certainly do not!

Where does your spare time go? Do you have to pop in to the bookies and get some fags on the way?

fool.

This is a great deal. Cheaper than that last one a couple of weeks ago by £14. That got very hot and so will this one. There was enough info in the header for me to save a nice amount of cash...

Quite the drama queen aren't you! Anyway, this thread isn't about me but rest assured I contribute more than my fair share of tax and have never once claimed benefits for anything
#35
if you follow dell outlet on twitter, they post out £20 off vouchers to use against all laptops and netbooks. I got a scratched netbook for £109, does the job and in excellent condition.

I bought one of these a few weeks back with Windows 7 and have to say i'm impressed.

Positives - It's got a decent webcam, and does the basic email/web tasks well. Has a decent size hard drive for putting movies and music on and is small and light for travelling. Handles Skype well and has integrated media card slot which is very handy.

Negatives - It takes a little while to start up, and there is quite a lot of scrolling, but if you know how to change your browser defaults you can sort out a lot of that.
#38
Here is the link, so would everybody just stop complaining!!!!

Just change the items you want to see, eg, what spec, and change it from "Dimension Desktops" to "Inspiron Notebooks"

Simples!!!
