I heard that they will be offering it with Ubuntu shortly - not sure what the price will be - hopefully it will match the £199 price of the old Mini 10v.

Not sure whats the point of the n450 - double the TDP and the same specs (albeit with 64-bit)

The TDP includes the previously separate chipset so combined TDP is actually lower. There is a bit more performance, less heat, a lot more battery time and with the optional Broadcom HD decoder you can play 1080p video.

It's a 10.1" netbook - are you sure that's what you want?

If so the £179 Compaq deal at CPW is unbeatable in my view. Got one and very happy with it.
#9
wish they had the mobile broadband option available, they must already have the hardware

Joy. Another atom/intel gfx/3 cell battery netbook.
#16
I agree with scotty boy tbh, an ion netbook like the hp mini 311 offers more at this price point (hdmi, light gaming, 1080p output), and if ur not interested in those then there are cheaper netbooks out there. More money for newer tech thats not a huge improvement it seems
#17
My HP2133 netbook has died on me yesterday - so Im after another netbook.

Wish that hp311c ion was still available. ION could be a bonus. Higher res screen is a must.

However if dell offer with ubuntu , that will win it just so I avoid the windows tax and dell register a linux sale not a MS one , extra bonus points for dell if its cheaper. (Got a dell ubuntu desktop - pretty good).

Hi def screen option seems to have disappeared and still no option for the broadcom chip
#19
Also windows 7 option now showing at £309

Still no HD option - but the 250GB drive is "free upgrade"
#20
Is it likely they will reduce it to the £279 again once the 250GB upgrade deal is fininshed? I should have ordered it yesterday when I was looking at it!

Can OSX be run on these?

Yes, that's right - all three netbooks listed via the deal link are showing as having that model of CPU.

You can see this by looking at the line called Base, just under the Add to Basket button.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!
