Dell outlet site states that after 15mins of non-activity, all items will automatically be removed from your basket. Hope it's not too late for you

Keep refreshing, I've just ordered one. When I first looked there were none then two appeared.

Thats why I keep refreshing the page :) Had one in my basket before I left work, but lost that while I was driving home, really holding out for a 16GB drive if I could get one for less than £150 i'd be in there.

BTW for anyone interested these run Win 7 VERY well
#13
havent seen a 16gb+ version with WWLAN built in, also this one is 1.66mhz
upgrading the SSD to 32gb will cost about £50 or £100 for 64gb - Crucial ones from www.ebuyer.com
#14
Is this the version with the wireless broadband then, rather than wireless lan?
#15
5 currently available - be quick

It must be its. WWAN rather than WLAN, so do you definately get the 3G card/dongle in it?
#17
Hi i know there are none left at the moment but I just wanted to ask - I have the acer aspire one that was on offer at Asda a while back but not really liking linux, this dell has XP but are the other specs as good as my acer.

theyre as good as the same, just the Dell has a small 8gb SSD hard drive rather than the 120gb/160gb in the acer

No they come with both 3G and WLan

When you get the order confirmation email from Dell with the two PDF files in it, double check the order one where it details all the components in the system. It has to say WWAN (yes WWAN is the acronym that Dell uses for the integrated 3G) in there somewhere. If it only says WLAN then you won't be getting the 3G component built in. Also, Dell only put the WWAN in the various XP configurations, not in the Ubuntu ones so that's another tip to help figure out if you have the 3G or not.

It says that products have been returned to dell for a variety of reasons - does this mean they are refurbs - not new?

*Most* of the time they are orders that have been cancelled before they even got the chance to ship and so you will find a mint machine in your hands.

If your next question is why they have so many of the same model with the exact same configuration (mem, hdd, screen size, etc) then you can be sure it was a large order that was cancelled (eg school/business etc made order for 40 odd machines then pulled the plug just before dispatch).

Well I've ordered it but not sure if I've done the right thing. Is it as straight forward as comparing the 160gb hd on my acer aspire to the 8gb ssd on the dell? Seems like a huge difference in memory?

+1

I've had a few machines from the outlet all at great prices
only one white mini9 had a slight imperfection in the white part of the lid, a shame but not the end of the world, seeing as it as a 16gb mini9 for £150
#27
and for all those lucky ones that got one of these
how about a nice messenger bag to carry it in "designed for the mini9".... allegedly
10% off and free delivery comes in at £24.65
