#3
This deal just keeps getting better

Utter bargain, this is the ultimate Adamo deal. Buy now if you want one, it will never get this good again!
#5
DELL have just made this laptop end of life. If you want on of these, get it now as supply will dry up.

looks nice, but does it have an sd card reader or HDMI?
#7
Brilliant deal
#8
I think this would not play BBC HD....pitty no hdmi. looks very nice though.. but if I was in market for a notebook I would go for the Asus EEE PC 1215N Atom 2 250 12.1

why is this such a good deal? why not something like this>>>https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/OPEN_BOX_-_Lenovo_ThinkPad_L412_1007619.html

Trust me... Bargain! I had to get one, its a little bit more than netbook money, but the design is hot and ssd, saw on youtube with windows7 and ssd it boots in like 20 seconds, and it used to cost soo much, cant wait till mine gets delivered :-)
#11
Oh in reply to Cakepanda, it does not have an sd card reader or hdmi, but has a display port which you can get an adaptor to hdmi.

i bought a asus ul30a simular spec for less.... £350ish from cpw! i wouldnt say this was an amazing deal but its a dell and build quality will be high! at this price i'd rather pay a lil bit more and get an apple or pay less and get 1 of the many win7 laptop deals

Sorry but if I pay close to £500 for a laptop I expect a dedicated graphics card.

i don't understand how this is a good deal, it looks to me like a massively overpriced underpowered netbook.

Amazing deal, I paid much more than this for mine when they were first released.

The SU9400 CPU in this is much faster than the Atom D525 in the Asus EEEPC 1215N. Also this has a 128GB SSD (which is worth £150-200 on its own) compared to the slow 5400RPM HDD in the Asus.

---

To the people calling this overpriced (or even 'massively' overpriced), if you can find me a light notebook/netbook with good build quality, 6 hour battery life, processor comparable to the SU9400 (not a dual core Atom), a 128GB SSD and a screen resolution of 1366x768 or above for a lower price than this please do post it, I'm in need of a spare so I'm just about to buy this.

This was built to rival Apple's Macbook Air. That's what you need to compare it to, not a cheapo plastic netbook.

Good deal.

ive just used this code for a differen laptop :D

Awesome deal, if it wasn't for the fact that my Asus UL30A is still going strong I'd have had the credit card out in seconds!

I'm sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but why is everyone going crazy over this laptop?
The specs aren't exactly amazing like everyone is making out.

Sure it has a SSD, that's about the only good thing about it. But does it support TRIM?
The CPU is slow, only 2GB RAM, Intel Integrated Gfx, USB 2.0 & a low res display (probably ok for most).

Is this suppose to be a netbook?
In that case it's good spec & probably why I don't understand the reason of it.

Well in respect the SSD is the main selling point as they retail for around £200, but the design of the thing is stunning, and with windows 7 installed it boots really quickly and runs very well, its not for high end gaming but for that price wipes the floor with netbooks and build quality is very good as it originally was designed to compete with apple's macbook air. Very thin, battery life 5 hours, you can take it anywhere.

If this were a 15" laptop then I'd agree with you, but you pay a real premium for this screen size. There's not many for £500 that will have dedicated graphics, and certainly none with SSD or the build quality and finish of this.

It's a ultra portable laptop, mixing the portability of a netbook with the function and computing power of a laptop. I myself have a Asus UL30A for Uni and it's amazing, granted there not the best spec in the world but it manages to do 90% of things including HD video with ease, obviously it will fail with games but it's not aimed at that. The one thing it demolishes most laptops at is battery life. On the lowest brightness setting i can get around 8 hours out of it. Not many laptops can claim to do the same.

It's an Ultra Portable laptop, not Netbook. It offers enough grunt to do most everyday tasks on, and has a good battery life and superb build quality. If you can find a higher spec Ultra Portable with better build quality and inc. SSD then please post it since that would make this a poor deal.

This is not a laptop for power users it's for people who want something, small ,light, well built and stylish.

Oh typed this on my Dell Latitude D420, 1.2GHz dual core, 2GB RAM, 12.1" Screen and all that jazz, £1700 4 years ago.

See sense and vote hot, and if you don;t understand consumer electronics or computers then don't vote.

The discount code seems to work on any old laptop! Can anyone attest as to how reputable this site is?

this code seems to work on any laptop on the site...

i just managed to apply it to a 229.99 dell netbook O.o i could buy it for 109.97...

#29

ALERT ALERT....XPS-0264 is working on all laptops.....potentially leaving net books below 100 pounds....

I dont know if they will honor it but the code works ...

beautiful but much like a macbook I personally wouldn't pay the premium. I love edge to edge screens though.

Managed to get an Acer Timeline with this kind of spec for £345 before Christmas. Exact Same processor, 500gb HDD, Win7 home premium, HDMI and VGA out, 8+ hours battery life, dedicated switchable ATI Radeon HD 4330 graphics... why has this gotten so hot so fast???
#38
If you're buying this I would assume you want a Windows Machine, so that leaves the MB Air out. At this sort of price I would imagine the Toshiba R700 is the closest alternative, it has a faster processor but is thicker and probably won't have the SSD.

Personally I'm holding out hope others will start to follow Sony's lead and introduce a 1080p (or better still WUXGA) screen in a ~13" machine. Otherwise it looks like I'll be shelling out a couple of thousand on my next laptop purchase :(
