Should be ok now? I left the default link in which seems broken :whistling:

Notice that there also loads of Studio 17's on there at the moment for around £347, sounds cheap to me. I won't a studio but only with a 15" screen, that model doesn't even appear in the drop down box?

Excellent price when you see the RRP below - Handy for a media centre into an LCD-TV

Is anyone else having a problem checking out? Everytime I try to move past the screen where you enter your name/address/phone number I get a message saying that my cart is empty - this isn't due to the 15 min timeout as it happens if it's only a minute or so after I add the system to my cart.

Great deal BTW :-)

/EDIT: All sorted - it's fine in IE, just wouldn't work in firefox

Can you go through Quidco or not with Delloutlet?>

See its only £360 from Dixons so not a massive saving really ,plus at least with Dixons you can pick ya own colour.

When you consider some folk wet themselves when they save 2 pence on a tub of butter I would say that a £65 saving is a good one!! Hot deal from me!

Excellent deal!
Thanks OP.

I just hope they don't do what they did last week with the Mini-9's.......:x

Might I suggest building one around the Antec Fusion? Unless it needs to be tiny, this one is a work of art. Looks like an amp, fill it with whatever you want (micro ATX is really the only limitation), and is very quiet.

It also looks like this:

Fab deal and I'd love to buy one, but I just can't!

My pc that I built a while ago is still faster and better but I just love the form factor. Wish it had a tv in card too.
#15
Good deal, but not for me, as I doesn't include a firewire port and I don't think it's upgradeable

Yes I think it would struggle to play blu-ray, - mainly because it doesn't have a blu-ray drive installed.

Is there any difference in the different size firewire's, i.e. will I be able to attach it to my camcorder?

The smaller fire 4 pin firewire omits the power supply so is exactly the same but cannot work with devices that draw power from the firewire cable,Camcorders use there own power supply so work fine with this,

very nice machines
bought one from dell's refurb store.... they really look brand new but much smaller price than main price
#23
So long as you install the relevant codec pack to play x264 and MKV files, this machine will play ripped HD-DVD and Blu Ray files with ease. My Studio 17 laptop has practically the same spec (with an HD3650 256MB card) and works fine. My housemate has an Inspiron with an X3100 intel card and it too plays HD rips just fine. Something like the klite mega codec pack is generally quite good.

It's not the same model. Version on sale has weaker processor and 2GB memory (article wrongly suggests all will have 3GB). Laptop-spec HD too, of course.

Neat unit, but not exactly a powerhouse...

Have you not been to any shops recently? 70's/80's is back. I have this unit that I put together myself and it is awesome. Coupled with a Asus HDMI MATX mobo and a core2duo processor it plays anything you throw at it and sits under my TV perfectly and it virtually silent.

that antec enclosure is hideous.

this would have absolutely no problem playing hi-def movies....my old pentium 4 played them fine you just have to have the codecs installed. try coreavc.

Thanks MikeT. Weak as I am .... I've ordered one of those to go with my 26" bedroom lcd.

Top deal (even better if I can persuade Dell to refund the VAT.)

I have to say I think these are pretty good looking little machines, I picked up one for around 450 pounds with the C2D 2.1 (T8100), 3GB ram, 320GB HD and blu-ray drive from Dell's ebay outlet. It's meant to be cosmetically damaged but I can't even find a single mark on it, so far quite pleased with the machine although I cannot get HDCP working on it. I think it's a good looking little device, absolutely tiny and very 'shiny' when powered up - here are some pictures:
