I've been looking for Eyefinity compatible monitors for the last few weeks and with Dell's 20% SMB monitors voucher available at the moment, the P2310H seems to give the best bang per buck at £174.

It may not seem as cheap at the ST series monitors posted recently, but the P series monitors offer features that aren't found on the cheaper ST series:

* DisplayPort connection (req'd for Eyefinity)
* USB hub
* Ability to attach to a VESA mount
* 3 year next day panel warranty

It's ideal if you're looking for an Eyefinity setup, and you can pick up 3 matching 23" screens for £522 (around £505 after Quidco).

You can always mix and match a P series monitor (using DisplayPort) with 2 cheaper ST/E series monitors for a cheaper Eyefiniyt setup. If the P2310H is a little too big, Dell offer a 21.5" P2210H for £155.34.

AMD have used the panels at their Eyefinity events so they should be pretty good.

How do you get it at that price inc vat and delivery?
#2
1. Click on the go to deal link above.
2. Add the monitor to your basket.
3. Proceed to view the contents of your basket.
4. Enter the code 176400VNNPSCL? (including the question mark)

It can be had cheaper if you go through Quidco, be sure to browse the the Small/Medium business section of the site instead of going through the home section.

Even more awesome if you can find room to do it with projectors! :w00t:

TN panel?

Show me a non-TN 1080 panel under £200, and that post might have some credit.

It was a question, hence the question-mark, some people are touchy on here!

Unfortunately it's TN panel - I've been scouring forums about them to see what the general consensus is - it's difficult to gauge. Some people don't mind them, some people abhor them. Ideally, I'd love to have 3 U2310s, but at £400+ per screen, it's just not going to happen.

Cheapest IPS panel with DisplayPort is the HP zr22w which rocks in at £225 - £250 for at 22" display

What annoys me most about nearly every 24" monitor these days is the fact they've dropped the common resolution for that size screen down to 1920x1080, whereas previous to the HD revolution you'd find a lot of them with 1920x1200.
Then they plug them with "FULL HD!", like it's a bonus?
While this may be good for movies or plugging your console into, the whole point of Eyefinity is for gaming on a PC, where the higher resolution would have been much preferrable.

This is a great price for a 24" with DP, no denying that (which is why I still voted hot). Just hope a reasonably priced 24" screen at the higher res will pop up some time soon.

Good price - but I think 16:10 would be much better. Having a desktop 6000 pixels wide is all very nice, but it is still only 1080 pixels high, so you have to scroll on most web pages.
