This came with the Inspiron 530 from Tesco last month, and it's quite a nice monitor. Only VGA inputs though.

If you don't have a wide enough desk space to have anything bigger, then buy this, otherwise spend an extra £20-30 and get a 22" or something.

It's a great monitor though, just wish it was bigger :P

is somebody having a laugh?, 1366 res, a lot of vga cards don't support this resolutuion, its pretty much a standard price for this size screen and there are better buys about

uhhhhm, load the display drivers then so they can.... :|

odd resolution - you often find it on HDTV's rather than monitors.

Well I've just bought a Studio Hybrid package thats bundled with one of these and it only has HDMI and DVI on the base unit so either you or Dell are wrong... lol

I have the same monitor bought with the same deal as DragonChris

It definately only has a VGA connector as i have a vga to DVI adapter to use it on my graphics card

Well this is the model number off my PDF of the monitor bundled with the Hybrid which according to the spec I've seen only comes with HDMI and DVI on the base unit:

18.5in S1909WN Widescreen Black UK/Irish (1366 x 768)

Unless you get some sort of convertor in the Hybrid package to run it off DVI...?

CONNECTIVITY

Analog RGB, 0.7 Volts +/- 5%, positive polarity at 75 ohm input impedance

and can be seen from the pics

most slightly smaller or slightly more expensive models (not dell) come with DVI and usually VGA too. i would need a lot of convincing for buying a brand new screen (tv or monitor) in 2009 without dvi

If you are going to be using this monitor for games, you might find that a lot of games won't support this resolution without fiddling with .ini's and such... :(

I also bought this monitor last month in the Tesco package.
I'm disappointed with it compared to my old Hyundai L72D.(VGA & DVI)
I'm sure there must better monitors, than this DELL one.
I would like to sell it & try something else.
This only has the VGA input, 1366 x 768 resolution & poor Dot Pitch 0.30mm.

Terrible for pc use. 768 vertical resolution is so limiting. I would expect at least 900 on a monitor of this size. My brother in law bought one of these (I found out to late) and rues the day. Frankly the display quality isn't very good anyway, ignoring the resolution.

I generally admire Dell monitors, and think they are a safe bet. I have an early Dell 24" which is one of the best bits of kit I have bought. I also have a Dell 26" TV which is excellent. I am not anti-Dell, but I really don't know why they introduced this monitor.

Buy a proper 19" from a different brand.

Voted cold. Would rather get this one... http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/357189/hannsg-19-lcd-multimedia-monitor-wi/ for much cheaper and with a higher resolution..

Granted it looks worse but I'm being practical

CDiscount also has http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/354158/philips-200ws8fb-20-1-lcd-monitor-v/ a 20-inch LCD for £5 extra.. gives almost twice more resolution
