Fantastic monitor, I bought one when it was on here for £180 or so. No problems what so ever with it, some maybe put off by the 1920*1080 resolution (it's usually 1920*1200 for monitors) but it looks gorgeous here. Heat added.

But isn't that then 16:10 resolution, which is not right anyway.

I'm really tempted by this or the 24", can't see where this 10% off thing is though

Will you still get the 3 year warranty if bought from PCW ?

In fact even if you do, PCW will probably service the warranty, not good with their current state of affairs

This is a pc monitor right, not a telly? Still sounds good value for a full HD monitor.

just got one from Currys, vote this hot for the warranty
#9
ignore, just saw someone had posted the same.

Would this be appropiate for Xbox 360?

Its brilliant for the xbox 360. I have the 23 inch version.

You will need a Xbox 360 VGA cable though with a sound input so maybe some external speakers

Just ordered and it said between 1-3 days, they then sent an email stating on or before 10th March :?

Is this just a standard email from Dell or should i really expect it in nearly 2 weeks time ?

You can use Xbox through this monitor through DVI with HDCP, just need a HDMI to DVI cable from Xbox to monitor. If you can hear sound through your headset now then it should be usable with the monitor. The monitor will not output sound because there's no speakers.

i have the 23" version, gorgeous

a bit of a numpty question, but without hdmi, I guess I can't use a freeview box on this can I?
#19
Can't you just use some kind of adapter that converts DVI to HDMI?

Yes you can still use it through either VGA or DVI, you just need a HDMI to DVI cable, from the freeview box to the monitor. But you may require sound from somewhere else such as external speakers. Because monitor has no speakers.

So, the only advantage to buying a monitor with an hdmi input is that sound goes through the cable- is that it? The reason for asking is that I was looking at the iiyama 24" monitor from misco for £175 and wondering whether that would be a better idea for ocassional tv viewing?
