It is the same product but the price in the title of the other thread is not the same, so unless people read the older thread they are not aware of the difference in price.

Great deal by the way.

Hot, could do with one of these.
#7
wow, and the price keeps going down

To note - the extra £50 discount appears to expire today i.e. 23/06/09. So if you want this monitor you better decide fast and purchase it before tommorow.

Bought!!

Great screen

Cold, Repost.

Interesting that it has an HDMI socket. So in theory you could attach a blu-ray player, freeview box etc. but I supposed you would need to handle the sound separately?
#12
Definitely interested in buying one of these...might be a stupid question, but whats the arrangement if you notice any dead pixels (up until 3 years after you buy it)?

Also, how does this compare against the 23 inch SP2309W which claims a resolution 2048 x 1152?
#13
I bought this monitor when it was £180. If I had spare cash I would buy this right now and have a dual screen system. Highly recommended. PS3, Xbox360 can be connected in HDMI. PC in DVI or VGA.

Don't forget you can use Dell EPP.. Gives you a few % off... Not much but every little helps
#15
Ordered mine thanks

The monitor has an audio output, so sound can be taken from the HDMI,
not tested it myself though

Wow...I was kicking myself..I've just ordered a 22 " LG, HD screen....and paid more...Then I realised it doesn;t have a tuner....

Phew...no need to cancel the monitor I've got on order....

But a sweet deal if you don;t need a tuner....
#18
This is a great price.
I paid £30 more for this monitor not too long ago, I have my PS3 hooked up to it via HDMI and I got myself a Play TV box so the fact it has no tuner is no problem.

Good Find. Very tempted!

I think I know the answer already but I'm guessing this doesn't have any built in speakers?

cracking deal - sitting infront one of these beauties right now. got it for around £180 via a deal posted here about 8 months back.

trust me, you won't regret buying this.

Thought so. Was planning on buying proper speakers anyway just would have been nice to have built in ones as well. Still a good deal tho!

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents worth. Bought one of these a few weeks ago, very good screen and this looks a great price. Better than my previous Samsung 2333 which my son has now got. That screen was good, but the viewing angles and overall quality are better on this. Mine had no dead pixels, from what I remember, Dell are normally happy to replace a screen with dead pixels within 7 days, after that they only replace with 6 or more dead ones, though if it's good new, chances are you'll be OK - you can always give them a call to check The HDMI input is a good bonus also.

Sound wise, you can buy Dells 'Sound Bar' to use with his (has no speaker built in), but it has audio connectors (in and out), so do what gorskino10 suggests.

Nice review!

Does it have PIP (Picture-in-Picture)? It would be nice to pull a freeview broadcast (ie. no internet bandwidth overhead) onto the screen whilst working.

This is a fantastic deal! Compared with the £139 I paid last year for a 22" monitor without HD, this looks like the works. Shame I can't justify buying one this month :(
#29
I'd pay a bit more, I'd lose an inch and get a 2 megapixel webcam with USB hub, get the SP2309W instead. That's what I feel at least. Thanks for posting anyway.

Could you play a PS3 of one of these?

Only got limited room so this'd be ideal really...
