Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Was listed here but the deal does not seem to work. Still looks like a good deal in it's current form.

I like this deal, but I was just wondering would I be able to connect a PS3 to this and play, or would it need a tv tuner or something like that ?

Just attach with an HDMI cable and off you go. Dunno about sound though. You'll prob need some speakers.

I have this monitor from a few weeks ago. There are no speakers on it hence it being a monitor. However there is an audio out where you can plug in a standard headphone jack to wire it to some speakers. If you got some Harman Kardon Soundsticks you'd have a lovely little set up!

If you've already got one, else it would be cheaper to buy a normal TV. Plus this doesn't have any way of generating sound so you would need a stereo hooked up to your freeview box as well.

Although it mentions audio in/out it doesn't say anything about speakers?

TV tuner card for your PC would probably be a better option, assuming you have a PC that can either resume into windows quickly and isn't too noisey.

I recently purchased this for £117.08 with 10% quidco yet to come, but have to say probably wouldn't recommend for ps3 use, I have found the blacks to be simply grey, making watching blus a bit painful in places! As for sound I bought the creative t10s and they work nicely using the audio out plug on the monitor and it works simply for both outputting both my ps3 (hdmi) and pc (dvi) connections, hope this helps any potential buyers out. Any questions about it I'm happy to answer!

Hot from me, I'd buy 3 to replace my current haggard 24 & 22" setup but unfortunately they don't support adjustable height or rotation :(
#19
I bought this at the previous deal. It's absolutely fantastic. I can confirm there is definitely no sound, so don't use it as a TV. However, if you can deal with the sound with an existing audio setup then it will take HDMI.

Fantastic buy and huge display with the backup of it being a good quality manufacturer - absolute bargain.

no link? no specs?

|I think the Hanns G on amazon (24", has speakers) for £149.99 is a better deal.

There's a BIG red button at the top of the page (right hand side not the left) with the words "go to deal", click and see where where you go from there.

Is the 1080p resolution the best to be on when using it as a PC (as it's Native resolution). I've got a 22" samsung at the moment and i like to run lower resolutions at time, but because it's not the native resolution, it looks blurry and horrible! don't want that if I chose to get this as I want to use my PC and XBOX 360 on it!.

Thanks

Tempting. Great price for HDMI input.

Will try and resist for now but heat added.

Yes the native 1080p resolution is the best to use. Why do you want to run a lower resolution? If you are having trouble reading things on the screen, you should change some settings in your software to make text bigger rather than dropping the resolution.

Also how is your Samsung connected? VGA or DVI or HDMI? I find VGA (analogue) can be blurry on some monitors whereas DVI/HDMI (digital) is always sharp.

Finally you may want to check you are using the correct refresh rate. Find the correct rate for your monitor (usually 50Hz or 60Hz). If you are using Windows then you can set it by going to change the resolution as you normally would, then clicking "advanced settings" and clicking the "monitor" tab.

The guy above put it quite nicely really, I would recommend just changing some of your computers zoom settings as opposed to the screen resolution itself which will pretty much always jig with the picture :)

That dynamic contrast ratio is what's giving you the washy blacks.

Great price though, looks good aesthetically - just technically a little disappointing.

Ordered for Xbox 360 use, is there any headphone volume controls? Or is it just an audio-out
#30
I ordered one earlier today, hoping it would arrive by the weekend, or early next week at the latest. Just got my email confirmation through. Website says it ships in 1-3 days, email says it'll arrive on or before 25th!! is this normal? I really need this by Tuesday/Wednesday next week at the latest.

It's showing as £139 now - not such a good deal :(
Unless I'm missing something?!?!

I recently ordered 3x 2209WAs from Dell and they gave me a delivery date of the 10/05 - they turned up on 06/05 instead.

I wouldn't say that they're delivery date estimates are particularly accurate!
