is this going to be a competator for the ipad

Not voting on this but I had a look at one in an O2 store and thought that the screen was not very sharp. I think these will go to £199 before long at which point they will be a good deal.

I don't see who they're marketing this towards. What's the point in an overpriced 5" tablet, when most new phones have 3.5-4" screen with higher resolution and can do most of the stuff this can, and more, for cheaper. If it was cheaper and/or had a bigger screen it'd make more sense.

For £30 extra I know what I'd get.

Just realised it's a phone.. that's ludicrous!!

It's actually not very uncomfortable to hold. The size is just fine and I'm loving the 5" screen. It fits into my jeans pocket as well and real slim.

This doesn't exactly inspire me. I could think of better things to spend £400 on! :p

This is perfect - fills the gap between my smart-phone when I'm out and about and my tablet when at home or at work

The main point being that its supposed to be a "tablet" pc, meaning somewhere inbetween a smartphone and a laptop. From the specs and the size of the screen on this, it is basically a oversized smartphone, without actual phone capabilities, as well as the ridiculous price point.

Considering an ipad is so overpriced according to the community on here, I cant honestly beleive this £400 gimmick isnt colder than the Jedward tshirts.

I see, but its DOES have phone capability so its not fair to compare it to the iPad or other tablets. But I do agree that its neither one thing nor the other and and cannot see it selling well.

Or this one

£299.99 (255.31 exc.)

same as post above but without the bundled 32gb card.

I am very tempted by the streak, want something with a bigger screen than my legend, and with better battery life. Also it has the same processor as the desire (so bigger than tthe S7)
