Ordered a Dell Studio 15 today and noticed the price was slightly less. The model ordered was 549 with 50 off to take this down to 499. However when getting the add to basket the price is shown as 529 and then the 50 is then taken off, taking this down to 470! If you then add the 10% discount code on this and 6% quidco this is not a bad deal.

If you include the quidco then the laptop delivered comes in at £425.14 delivered.

Hmm, I'm going to have to vote cold I'm afraid, but, I will give you a reason!

I got the same spec more or less (Studio 2.0GHz, 3GB RAM,256MB ATI 3650, 250GB 5400rpm HDD, Web Cam, 17" Tru Life screen 1440x900, Red Colour upgrade) last October for £495.

Yes, this is a shade cheaper, but the differences in GPU are subtle, the web cam is not there and the screen is smaller. Colour panel is pointless to mention really!

So personally, I don't find this a hot deal, as Dell will always have offers and no doubt will have better ones soon.

dont think your machine has dropped at all in price if could use the 10% on 499 :) (~540 now)
studio 17 always been better value than studio 15 but many dont want the size and until now they only went up to ati3450.
dont like the look of that spec though really

Yeah, I waited for a good offer to come along and snapped it up. It's worth waiting with Dell, as really good deals are never *that* far away. I even got my quidco in the end, so another £16 or so.

I didn't realise the price had held this well. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy :p
