class monitor (had my 24" dell for over a year now) and an absolutely ACE price. If you can afford it grab it people, gaming takes a whole new life, and even web browsing is more comfortable on a screen this size :)

My 22" widescreen monitor i got with my Dell Dimension E520 a few months back is playing up and ive no idea what to do. Its streaking all colours and stuff from left to right and it looks awful. Sometimes its worse than other but its generally just a pain in the ass! What should i do? Am i eligable for a replacement?

You should get either a replacment or problem sorted out under the 12 month warranty :)

This is billed as being the A04 Revision.

Is that the right one to get ? I remember endless discussion about this in a thread some months back, but can't now remember whether this is the better version.

A04 is the one you want FF99.

I bought one of these the last time they appeared here, discounted by Dell themselves. It is a stunning piece of kit. The extra desktop acreage actually makes a difference to the way I work - suddenly it's feasible to have two or three windows open at once. The memory slots etc are icing on the cake. I did have a slight problem with the monitor not being straight - but two minutes with a screwdriver adjusting the 'rotate' mechanism and bingo. Recommended.

Don’t forget that you can still get this screen for £525.88 (+ Quidco) direct from Dell with a Dual Core AMD X2 system thrown in – 1.9GHz, 1GB DDR2-667, 250GB SATA, Vista Basic, DVD-writer etc.
It’s only a 1 year warranty at this price though; see here:

Nope, I just checked, the price I posted is still good. Reduce the warranty to 1 year and upgrade to the 24" screen.
#11
shame it is from one of the poorer customer service retailers for pc parts

The 4 year warranty should be directly with Dell though.

Sorry I was talking about the original OP deal.... the pc is ok for £100 I guess, but for TFTs I'd much rather have a 3year NBD replacement warranty than a 1yr BTB?

Couldnt agree more.

I paid nearly £600 for mine quite a while back.

With it being so expensive it was a tough choice at the time, but I'm glad I got it.

Any other offers like the PC with the 24" for £530?

Haven't found the monitor on it's own for less than £380 so £530 with a PC to flog is a great deal :)
