Dell Venue 8 Pro Tablet Atom quad core, 2GB Ram, 32GB Storage,Full windows 8.1 - £179.99 or less (Trade in Deal)

OktaneZAOktaneZA

Right , slightly harder work than the previous deals http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/dell-venue-8-pro-tablet-atom-quad-core-2gb-ram-32gb-storage-full-windows-8-1-microsoft-1766415

This takes a little effort but saves alot. Its based on purchasing a base model dell venue 8 tablet for £249. Then sending in an old piece of equipment to the Dell Trade to save program. This will garnish you a full £100 off the price of the new tablet.

The process is simple
1 Buy a new dell venue tablet and get the invoice emailed to you as a PDF
2 Find an old piece of equipment that meets the criteria as set out here https://tradetosave.trade-in-platform.com/_Content/en-US/TermsOfUse.html. As I did not have an old piece of kit I purchased the cheapest HP inkjet from ebuyer for £32.31 or the Cannon for £29.99. These devices meets the min requirements for the trade to save program.
3 Signup to https://tradetosave.trade-in-platform.com/ with your invoice and details of the item you are going to send back.
4 On approval post the printer with the self addressed envelope as provided by the trade to save program.
5 Wait 10-40 days for your £100 payment

Total Spend
£249 Dell Table +£29.99Inkjet = £279.99 -£100 discount = £179.99

Cannon Inkjet http://www.ebuyer.com/194917-canon-pixma-ip2702-colour-inkjet-printer-4103b026

HP Inkjet http://www.ebuyer.com/523330-hp-deskjet-1010-7ppm-a4-usb-cx015b-bhc

The possibility to reduce this further can be increased by having a piece of kit that you no longer want or some of the various dell vouchers flouting about.

Too much like hard work for me.

Valid point, will be easier for some than others. But £70 notes are not to be sniffed at. You can save 200 notes off laptops which is a chunk of change.

^--- I "liked" your post, probably because I'm a lazy git and it looks like you're not ;)

Looking at the T&C's you have to trade in an equivalent product:

"if you have purchased a PC or tablet you must trade in a PC or tablet and so on"
    and
"desktop or tablet purchases will [only] qualify for specific quoted rewards on the basis of trade in of an old laptop, desktop or tablet product."

So I doubt Dell will give any cashback off a tablet in return for a cheap inkjet - YMMV!

Normally I would be the same but alot of holiday over Xmas and a new job resulted in time on my hands X)

    Point 3 :

Dell Qualifying Products and associated applicable reward amounts are those set out at any given time here. Rewards are dependent upon the Qualifying Product purchased and trade in products must be equivalents - specifically printer purchases will qualify for specific quoted rewards on the basis of trade in of an old printer, scanner or fax product, monitor purchases will qualify for specific quoted rewards on the basis of trade in of an old monitor product and laptop, desktop or tablet purchases will qualify for specific quoted rewards on the basis of trade in of an old laptop, desktop, tablet or Server product.

I'm under the impression you can't trade in a printer for a tablet.

I successfully purchased a junky Acer Iconia B1 from eBay and traded it it, when I purchased my Venue 8 Pro.

I tried to get the Acer iconia off ebay but couldn't get it for cheaper than 50 notes. Good deal if you could tho

It shows shows you traded something in not WHAT you traded. Maybe you got lucky as their rules clearly say you can't trade in a printer against a laptop.

When I traded in to Dell recently I asked about this..

"The laptop, desktop and tablet are all interchangeable" for trades I was told.

That's what I was told by the company as well. The terms and conditions listed are incorrect on the website. They will accept hardware that is listed as long as it conforms to the rules ie is operational and made by a pre defined set of producers. There was no luck involved.

Thanks for clarifying that but still a risk I suppose!

It seems to be £263 delivered so where do you get £249 from?

The Venue 11 Pro with a 10.8” 1080P screen is £431 but is eligible for a £200 cashback which brings it down to £231 versus £162 for the 8” model.
The 11 also has a 64GB v 32GB drive so not bad for an extra £69.

Edit: The 11 Pro at that price lacks Win8 Pro.

That's odd, when I visit the dell site I am getting £249 incl delivery for the venue 8, maybe its a cookie thing? Its a good call for the bigger device, I was looking for a small win8 tablet for the least amount of cash with a bay trail processor. I am waiting for the LTE versions to come out later this year before I invest in a bigger device. The Laptop deals are also pretty good and 200 off as well.

Funny that for printer it is not required to be fully functional

Pricing is definitely £249 incl of vat and shipping for me, but appreciate dell can be funny with cookies. http://imgur.com/Wan6hLS.jpg

    10% cash-back on the 11” model versus 3% for the 8”.

Assuming you receive that alongside the trade-in leads to the following prices which exclude the value of the trade-in item:

    11” £431 - 10% cash-back of £34 = £197 after £200 trade-in.
    8” £263 - 3% cash-back of £6 = £157 after £100 trade-in.

Dell cash-back excludes VAT and postage.

Amazing the way the run the trade in operation. Its actually managed by a 3rd party co. I understand incentive, but don't understand how its financially feasible even if the full rules are applied. Our company devalues laptops to 0 after 3-4 years and most are operational yet they are happy to hand over 200 notes for one. Go figure, repeat business or cost of acquiring a new sale?
