Sorry for being dumb, but what tells you that the screen is HD? I recently ordered a laptop and wondered whether mine was.

15.4" Wide Screen WXGA (1280 x 800) Display with TrueLife™ is whats coming on mine.

Your screen is 720p max then.

Well it was right after the hard drive size and right before the screen size so it could have gone either way to be fair

The fact that they are the most popular vendor of PCs in the world begs to differ.

I've been using Dell for more years than I care to remember and have never had a problem with build quality.

The reason they are cheap is because they sell online, cutting down on the massive overheads which other vendors have to cope with, not because they are trying to rip you off.

can any1 help please?

I'm going to buy a vostro today and was hoping to do it by phone.
If i was to ring up could i still get it from the home department or would it then go straight through to the small business part.

I was wanting all the benefits of ordering from the home site regarding DSR but was hoping i could haggle on price over the phone.
