Remember to reduce the warranty to minimum where applicable and take all Dell deals right through to checkout for final pricing.

Dell are reporting 2 weeks delivery on this one.

One note of caution, they are listing the power supply as an option @ £17 so I would contact them to confirm it has one free with it before ordering.

A nice unit, but I have to say the words "here we go again". This unit seems to have a better spec than the 1500. I am very tempted, but what's the defference between the 1400 & 1500?

Please Anyone; Is This Good For Multitasking And Running Large Apps Together At Any One Time ?

Sir Dell-Boy , from my limited experience of being a Cisco Professional would i be right in saying the difference between Intel and Pentium is solely name only in, large ?.

1400 has 14inch screen where as 1500 has 15in screen

In order to get the correct price you MUST add to the system to the basket, then all the discounts come off.
Thanks to the OP for this deal

Thats a little naughty isnt it, I cant see them being able to get away with selling it without one, I for one would demand they send one foc or take it back had I ordered.
Normally they offer extra psu for a price so you can charge at home and office.
They list one 65W AC Adapter [add £17.63 ]

I would have a chat with them before ordering to be sure they dont include one though.

I don't think we need any more Dell deals but for reference the basic Vostro 1400 Celeron (N0214002)
can be bought for £298 while the (Twinkle) midprice on
Kensington Ci 25m Notebook Optical Mouse & Logitech® QuickCam Pro 5000 continues by adding these and the Small Nylon Carry Case...

I'm sure there are a dozen other combinations...

erm.. pentium was an old intel CPU core... which was basically awful.

multitasking as in music and internet? will be fine, core 2 are very good processors!

My desktop has a Pentium P4 3.2Ghz and is far from 'awful'.

hi guys, does anyone know how long the 9-cell battery lasts over the standard 6-cell battery and is it worth the extra money, also senn alot of comments about the 9 cell battery being loose and sticking out along way. I will only be using it for word processing, surfing, and listening to music.

Any advise appreciated

thanks in advance
