Add a 2gig strip of ram from 7dayshop for £20 and its a real nice deal in a slightly smaller than usual package with a good on site warranty too.

This one's come up before, that fail to list a charger sometimes but IMO if you were to buy and found it came without one (unlikely) then just phone and say the order was short a charger and get them to send one free next day.
To sell a notebook without a charger included is not something they could do really as it would be "unfit for purpose" without one

Hmmm...just noticed they are listing it seperate for 65W AC Adapter [add £17.63] take back what I said above. Add £17.63 to the price.

Though you may then end up with 2 chargers as sometimes they list them so you can buy extra ones for office and home.

I'm pretty sure it comes with charger....

They are still quite heavy considering it's a 14"

Dell web site clearly states that a charger is not included - as you say though, how can they do this without it being fit for purpose.

Yes I agree the Vostro raange are not the lightest or prettiest but this deal is imo a much better bet than say the Vostro 1000 (not a true vostro) for not a great deal more money. The Celeron M cpu is from my own testing a very capable chip.

The Vostro 1000 is an Inspiron 1501 with a black coat on ;-)

Insideman informs us that it now has a free 128meg graphics card upgrade, it also sports a webcam
I considered it a bargain before, even more so now with £40 worth of graphics for nowt.

Excuse my ignorance but isn't the Celeron 550 2.00 GHz etc a better processor for only about £12 more?
#15
If 140MHz is worth £12 to you go for it as that's the only difference :)

I personally bought the Vostro 1700 with a 550 as that was the only Celeron available and it should be fine for the years warranty, once that's finished I'll be upgrading via a 2nd hand Santa-Rosa Core2Duo :)
#16
I'm not that technically minded, so there's no point?
#17
You won't see much of a difference with an extra 140MHz however the rule of thumb for laptops is get most expensive you can afford for it to last as long as possible
[mod]#18
Price adjusted back to £282 bargain again as the consensus is that the psu adaptor is now included in the price
#19
Could anyone confirm whether this comes with an intergrated webcam?

It states:
Matte Jet Black with 2.0 mega pixel camera

so i assume it does?
[mod]#20
Yep, webcam as well.
