It is actually £498.20 at checkout, honestly ;-)

I've adjusted the price within the spec.

Yep, so I went for the M1530. Even though this is a better spec.

Has the sound problem been fixed with the Vostro 1500 yet? (interference on headphone/lineout)

Do Dell laptops come with a windows installation dvd? I would be thinking of installing an old computer XP Pro installation and saving say a Windows Vista installation for another day on an other computer.

??

Mike - only coming up as £527.58?? in checkout

Same here am i doing somthing wrong?

Be advised the screens they are putting in their laptops can be very poor, bad viewing angles and grainy displays. I have been trying to send mine back but they wont have it as apparently its normal design. There is a 180 page thread on this subject at http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=206527
Beware.
#19
Mike, same price as the mispriced one, and BETTER spec? what the hell

Most people don't have any problems with their screens judging by that thread. It's just a minority but it's a risk still. :/

I got this laptop last month when it was on a slightly better offer. It worked fine for a week and then started to fail to boot. I've had 3 engineer visits since and its still faulty. Dell offered to replace it today and offered to throw in some extras but I think I'd prefer a refund. What are my chances if I dig my heels in?

No. They all seem to do that, even the ones ordered recently.
