I got similar with one form mikes posts before xmas. But with 7200 HD. Forget what you know about Dell, I banged XP on two of these puppies and they are not Dell lappys these are built with mainstream components and they slam. These are the first lappys at a reasonable price that are what I call PC's in a damn small case. They run sweet and more importantly they Game. 99% of lappys out there are rubbish, I've set up so many for people after and before xmas and all they bought was a £500 door stop, old stock that good laptops running xp would kill from even 3yrs ago. These are excellent, again thanks for the earlier post Mike you made my mates two kids very happy and for just £540 per unit back then, hell of a deal :-)
If this wasn't a 17'' I would problay opt for it and a PS3 rather than the XPS system in your other thread! Top find mate you are on fire with all these top end laptop deals.
I have one of these with a 2Ghz cpu, 2gig ram, 160Gb hdrive and 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with Vista Premium.
Loaded Crysis and set it to low graphics @ 1440x900 and let a 10yr old play with it and he was quite happy with the framerate. I didnt run a check on what it actually was but at least it was playable ;-)
That was out of the box so to speak so nothing done to get the latest forceware drivers or optimise the instal at all.
Price drop today on this deal, now down to £621 delivered or less with quidco. Nice price for those looking for the extra cpu power of the 2.2Ghz cpu with 4mb cache.
