Hey, you're not MikeT! hehe

Good find, yes prefer the second one with 512MB nVidia® GeForce® 8300GS Turbocache graphics card at £235.07 - although Vista Home basic...

Thanks Street - enjoy your coffee.

Prices and systems are still changing..
I have no idea how MikeT copes every week at this time. Well played!

I'm sure he'll pull out a stonking deal in a moment!

That second one is a great deal. I had the same system delivered yesterday. It did have Premium instead of Basic, and cost £305. Todays savings could get me an upgraded processor for the same price. Is it easy to return an order? Will I be charged for the cost of picking it up? I've also got doubts about the Nvidia 8300. According to my system, it only has 128mb ram! I looked on google, which seemed to back this up.

yes, just went searching for the 8300 too and from the little reports to be had they didn't seem too good. Perhaps someone here who knows more about these things might report?

Indeed! It's a 128MB graphics card which can make use of the bus to grab some extra system memory when needed bringing the total to 512MB!

IMHO a reasonable card, but it's going to disappoint if gaming is your thing!

is it true that you need vista ultimate if your going to use one as a media centre ? want to be able to connect a 360 up to it :)

Vista premium also has media centre built in.

Vista ultimate is just a combination of the features from premium and business.

But no Vista Business. Since it's possible to upgrade the RAM for £30, but Vista Business would cost £50+ to upgrade, there's probably not much in it.
