Hi scrappy45weg, may be best to post a new thread in the Deal Request forum, specifying your budget, the games you're thinking of playing & other stuff you'll do, e.g. video editing, etc. All laptops will be suitable for basic things, but certain gaming & resource-hungry tasks will require a lot more.

All the best with finding a suitable one

I ordered mine yesterday. I did not see your post until today, so what I ordered must be good !

I ordered mine with a 3 year warranty and it came to around 364.00. Also a card reader and with Windows XP professional instead of Vista.

Thought it was a good deal

Ollie,
The problem with Dell used to be that they used custom Motherboards & Power supplies! Things like hard drives, DVD'e etc - you could still change... or add to... but if they still use custom PSU's. [& I don't know if they still do]... then you have a big... & expensive problem if it conks out!
I've been told [but no guarantees here] that they now use standard parts ... as the custom jobbies obviously cost them more, but that the cases are still 'custom' jobbies. Of course getting a bog standard case from Ebuyer will take care of this ... in the event of any future problems... if you can do it yourself .. of course!

Cheers
John
